So, me and my partner (25 & 22) have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. Transfer from airport for 40 mins. We couldnt check in until 1300hrs but this wasnt a problem because i didnt think we were allowed until 1600hrs. Room was great. Lovely beds, very clean, stunning bathroom (shower and bath), tv which you didnt have to pay for, balcony, safe(chargable). There were no tea making facilities in the room. Hotel has a pool which is under cover also a gym and sauna which we didnt use. Food was okay. Different food theme each night varying from fish, mexican etc. Food was good but only bad point was lack of variety. E.g. if a fish night there wasnt a lot of variety if you didnt like fish, but we never went hungry as theres always salad, chips etc. Standard buffett style dinners, soup, main and dessert etc. The hotel was always spotless, on a quiet road and very pleasant staff. The hotel did have a lot of mature people (not many young if any!) and lots of spanish people. Rooms were cleaned everyday and towels changed whenever you left them in the bath.
Location wise : 5 mins walk from beach / mcdonalds and the main strip. It is 2 mins walk from the old town which is very busy with some bars, loads of shops and some resturaunts (but you couldnt hear any of this from the hotel).
Benidorm its-self is lovely. Lots of places to walk, themepark and waterpark. Not many day trips/active days were available via the rep but these could be booked privately. There is a trip to the big island off the coast which i reccomend. £14 to get you there, an hour on the island, a submarine trip under water and trip back again. This was available from the far end of the levante beach by the mcdonads.
Nightlife wise there is loads of stuff to do. Old town is great for quiet bars (mainly spanish) but there is the main 'Square' a 15 min walk from hotel. There are loads of bars / clubs here, lots of shows such as lady gaga, westlife, sticky vicky etc. All bars were free to get into. Lots of offers for strip clubs and various drugs but ignore these people, they wont hassle you if you just walk on. I reccommend a pub called ROCKER FELLAS which is a show bar. Here you will find various tribute acts on from 2100hrs until the early hours, and drinks are cheap. In all fairness all the bars are cheap, a pint of carling/beer is £3.
