Arrived at the hotel with an open mind having read both good and bad reviews. There were 5 people in our party, myself, my wife, our 8 month old daughter and my wife's parents.
To be honest if you pay £300 pp for a week all-inclusive you cant expect 5* accomodation, but the flamingo benidorm was well worth the money. The drinks were good and strong and available all day until midnight. Yes, you have to queue for a short while but if you dont let it spoil the mood and chat the the other peolpe it can be quite entertaining!
The food was exceptionally good with a change of menu every sitting. Breakfast was great with sausage, bacon, eggs (fried,scrambled and omlette depending on the day) cereals, fresh fruit and even free champagne(well, sparkling wine) for those who spot it on the way in!
Lunch and evening meals were also good with extra 'specialties' on the themes nights (these included indian, italian, spanish and mexican).
The restaurant staff provide and exemplary service making sure tables are cleared and food is always replenished.
The bar staff aren't the happiest of folk but we found if you thank them (and use their own language) it certainly softens the mood.
If we had one slight complaint (but not strong enough to spoil the holiday!) the lifts can be a pain as you can wait a while for one to come.
Overall, a fantastic holiday and in our view a real bargain. I don't know if i would want to stay there at the height of peak season but it was perfect for the time of year.

Went to the Flamingo Benidorm on 14th August 2008 for 2 weeks and had an Excellent holiday...Room was spotlessly cleaned each day,as was the whole hotel.All the staff were friendly and helpful.Plenty of choice for food,there was something for everyone.Plenty of beds around the pool area and shade also if you wanted it.There were queues for the bar but they weren't too bad,and what do you expect in all inclusive???
There was only one downside,all around the pool area there were ample bins,but the british holidaymakers are too lazy to use them...Half eaten snacks were just thrown on the floor,plastic glasses were left everywhere...The hotel was spotless...the holidaymakers...well lets just say they weren't.At times it was embarassing to be British.I would use this hotel again.

this was our second time at the flamingo.we weren't dis appointed the first time we went was in April the weather was hot got a lovely tan,night time entertainment was inside big inside but get there early for a seat.entertainment was good and disco after we then used to go down stairs to the adults only club we had such a laugh i even got on stage.the food was brilliant both times ,the pool is brill as well. when we returned in august it was very child orientated entertainment was outside and it gets very windy up there.the entertainment at night was all for kids so when you dont have them it gets to much even the adult club wasn't open which i thought was stupid as it was peak season.would go back again tho but April was better more for the adults. its location is perfect easy walk to bars and strait down foe beach so definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Flamingo Benidorm for 2 years running. We found the hotel was excellent and enjoyed our holiday. It is situated just away from the hustle and bustle but still close to all the amenities. We did get bored with the food by the end of the week, and the bar staff were quite ignorant, but ive found that in Spain! Good entertainment at nights and very clean.
