“Wicked stay!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

recently stayed in this hotel with my daughter, the food was amazing plenty of selection and the staff were always helpful and friendly, all in all the staff were always very helpful. Rooms were nice and balcony was nice and the cleaner done a super job. The pool was nice aswell if I was gonna be fussy the kids pool could have been a bit bigger with a few more features. There was always plenty of loungers, poolside it was never overcrowded which was good as there was plenty of space. Very good sleep as the hotel was very well soundproofed, never heard neighbours once or the outside and I'm an extremely light sleeper. Its close to everything aswell, beach, bars, 10 minute walk into old town. Only negative was the eyesore of the building site opposite but there isn't any work going on there so you forget its there.

As a family of two 48 year olds and a fifteen year old daughter. When we arrived check-in was great, the staff were very friendly and willing to help. When we first reached our room we thought it was a bit small and that we would spend the next two weeks a bit cramped. But we then found out that it wasn't a hinderence. The balcony was a lot bigger than we thought and we ended up spending a large majority of our time on the balcony. We have a pool view of the Rio Park Hotel which allowed us to have something to watch while on the balcony (room 809.) Breakfast was brilliant with a large variety of choice and there was something for everyone to eat. Although the pool was small it wasn't a problem as the pool area was normally quite empty (no screaming children.) I would suggest though that a bit of music around the pool area wouldn't have gone amiss. At lunch and dinner there was lots of choice and each night at dinner there was a different theme or 'special.' Jackie at reception was brilliant, very friendly and helpful, she was a great help booking our excursions. The Cheap and Cheerful which can be found by turning right once leaving the hotel which was a great stop as it was only one euro a pint. Other bars I would recommend would be the Rovers Return which can be found by walking down the yellow brick road and is only a five minute walk. Also, the Secret Fountain was great which can be found close to the Rovers Return. Scruffy Murphy's which is an Irish and Scottish bar offered great live entertainment. The streets of Benidorm were very clean with little litter.

Can't wait to go back and would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel has always been one of our favourites but it isn't a 4star anymore the food quality has gone down to a 3 star one night it was pigs trotters I have never had them in 4star hotel they r catering for the Spanish people there now, the rooms have always been clean & lovely decor, round the pool the cleaning isn't like it was.

Although the hotel is across from an abandoned building site it is in fact quite lovely. The food is good with a wide selection and the rooms are cleaned daily, are spacious with fridge and safe (extra). Benidorm itself is not my cup of tea although the old town is beautiful but I would certainly recommend this hotel. It's central so an easy walk to the beach, shops, old town and dodgy nightlife (if you so wish!).

My overall experience of this hotel is just great. Impressed of so friendly and helpful staff , nice furnished reception and delicious food.
Breakfast was absolutely great, loads of different opctions with fresh orange juice. Dinner was nice as well.
Room was nice and clean, there was a fridge hairdrayer and AC. Room was with quite big balcony with 2 chairs and table.
About 10 minutes walk to the beach by walking pat.
Recommend this hotel for sure.

just returned from a week at the servigroup castilla hotel in benidorm, check in was very easy and room was only on the second floor and with a pool view room 201,room was quite small but adequate with air con which you are in control of.You also get a free night out at the benidorm Palace to see the new show which was a mixture of dancing and singing interspersed with various acts during scenery changes such as magician, juggler and others, you can make your own way there or book the bus for a return journey at a cost of 6 euro's each, show is on wednesday nights. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally good, happy to help, maid service and towel change was every day.Pool area, never had any trouble getting loungers, always loads empty, pool quite small but ok to cool off.We booked the half board option, choice at breakfast was cereals, fruit, cooked breakfast i.e sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, dinner choice was quite limited but all food was excellent,no complaints at all.
When you venture out of the hotel,it is about a 10 minute walk down to the promenade, there are loads of bars and resteraunts and clubs within a few minutes walk, was very busy down on the beach area during the day and evening, weather was great,,if you are a young group there are lots of 'other bars and clubs' to go to,altogether we had a great holiday, the hotel was excellent for the price and the time of year that we travelled, would happily go back there

Hotel is really nice located. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Room is big enough with lovely bathroom. There is hairdryer. Towels are changed every day. You have small fridge and flat TV. Also safe is provided. Swimming pool is quite big. Well, big enough. Most of the days we spent on the beach.
Across the street is big unfinished building site which seems to be not finished forever. There is a small path to the beach. It takes about 5-10min. It seems to be not nice place at night. There are plenty of empty restaurants. You walk and see how busy was this place couple of years ago and now it is empty.
Hotel is located about 5-10min. from “night life”. There are plenty of pubs, discos, lap dancing and drunk people.
Food- breakfast was fantastic. I do not think that anybody could be hungry. They offer variety of cereals, fresh rolls, cheeses, hams, fresh orange juice, hot food like scrambled eggs, pancakes. They also have sparkling wine! Dinner: there was not some many to choose as in the morning but still quality was very good. Fishes were excellent. I have never been hungry. Only one night we decided to go to the Indian restaurant (as we were fans of Indian food): Clay Oven close to the hotel. Food was amazing. My husband got Madras, I Buttered Chicken. Both were top class. However, for Benidorm prices, Clay Oven is expensive. There are tons of places that offer cheaper food.
We walked the whole Poniente and Levante beach. Promenade is fantastic. You can walk and walk. Old city also is nice however very crowded in the evening. There are tons of shops offering really nice shoes very cheap. Generally, Benidorm is a cheap place.
We went for a half of the day trip to Guadalest. Beautiful place. The bus stops very close to the hotel (Avendida Europa) and return ticket cost €7.50 per person. Ticket to the castle €3. We wanted to go to one of the parks but we were warned that they are packed over weekends.
Most of the days we spent on the beach. Sunbed costs €4 and umbrella €4 so the whole set (2 sunbeds + umbrella) €12 which is really cheap. On Ibiza we paid €12 for only one sunbed!!!
Overall, Benidorm is a nice place for somebody on low budget. Hotel Castilla is an excellent choice.
