“Great holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

This was the third time me and my wife had stayed here. It is still as good as when we first went about 5 years ago. The food is good and there is a great selection at each meal time. It is in a quiet part of Benidorm so you are not bothered by noise.Wide screen TV's are provided showing BBC1 & ITV. There is also a mini fridge. A lot of Spanish families use it which in itself is a good recommendation. Each time we holiday in Benidorn we will go to the hotel again.
Staff are always helpful and friendly. The only downside was that if you have a room overlooking the pool you can be disturbed by the entertainment noise at the hotel. However, it is only two or three nights a week.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same

Lovely friendly hotel staff, great location, food tasty. Easy to walk into the lively area of Benidorm but lovely to leave it at night and go home and get some sleep in a quiet location.

Room Tip: We had a lovely room, can't really comment on improving it.

We return to this hotel every year. You be guaranteed a warm welcome, spotlessly clean and appointed accomodation and good food choices. The hotel has many regular clients. Can't understand why Thomson have dropped this hotel.....fortunately direct bookings can be made online..but you will find this hotel featured in Thomas Cook and Jet2 holiday brochures. The hotel is quietly located but still close to all the popular nightlife...seems to be most poular with 50+ couples...did tend to be 100% UK clients when the hotel used by Thomsom but now more 50-50
UK/Spanish clients.

Room Tip: Their are 11 floors..High floors will have the best views but there are only 2 lifts so you may want...

Stayed at the Castilla for eleven nights in May 2012 for the first time, and I simply cannot praise it too highly. First and foremost it is not only spotlessly clean it is positively gleaming throughout, from the rooms to all the public areas, including the outside areas, where it is great to have a large terrace as well as the actual pool area. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for any of them, which is amazing when considering the long hours they have to work, particularly in the Restaurant. We stayed on a full-board basis, which, for the little difference in price from half board, is worth it. The food is excellent, even if you are a fussy eater you will always find something to suit you as there is always plenty of choice, and the "English" section of the Breakfast buffet is better than any I have experienced in the U.K. Perhaps it is wrong to single out a particular member of staff when they are all wonderful, but a special mention must go to Paolo, the Barman, who is so very helpful and would easily win an award for the friendliest barman in Spain, let alone Benidorm! If you are only thinking about booking this hotel whilst considering the many other options available, as I did, please do it, you will not regret it, and this is advice from someone not easily pleased! The only downside to the Castilla is having to leave it, we both agreed we could happily live there and will be returning at the first opportunity.

Once again the Castilla did not let us down. Forth time in this hotel. The cleanliness and staff are A1. Food is excellent.

Cheap and Cheerful down the road is a must for English Breckfast.

BEWARE of rogue gypsys some with clipboard claiming to be deaf & dumb asking you to sign their petition, and con you into giving a donation (afraid to say I was the dumb one!) Also, watch out for them with the cups trick. Friend of ours was robbed when he got his wallet out to have a go,one held his wrist then another one took his money from the wallet and ran away. they are quick!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool.
