“Another wonderful stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2010

Just returned from another wonderful stay at the Rio. We have stayed here 4 or 5 times now over the past, tried different ones along the way, but always come back to the Rio Park.

The management and staff are excellent providing a relaxing, comfortable stay. The food caters for everyone's taste and has a "show cooking" counter where we enjoyed some fabulous omeletes made fresh to order.

Even the guests, which are nearly all English are very friendly and there is no snobbiness as we have found with some guests in other hotels we have stayed in.

I remembered to take my hairdryer this time as they do not provide one in the room, but you can pay a deposit and hire one from the reception. Talking about reception, the staff there are so friendly, helpful, polite and nothing is too much trouble for them and 90 per cent of them are English.

This hotel is fantastic, the only down side is the yellow brick road leading down to the beach is so seedy and we heard of two separate muggings which had taken place during the week, even one old dear was attacked inside the hotel on the stairs. After discussions with other guest we all felt a lot safer if the hotel was to employ a security guard who could perhaps patrol the area and show a presence, this would most certainly encourage more people to stay, because it was quite evident, and I was there with my husband both him and I felt vulnerable walking out there particularly at night, and we are only in our 50's, the majority of guests are relatively older and more susceptable to being mugged. So come on management listen to the views of your loyal guests!!!!

We love this hotel and will certainly be going back.

Thank you Rio Park for a wonderful stay AGAIN!!!

We are really pleased to hear that you enjoyed another stay at the Hotel Rio Park. Our aim is to ensure that our guests have the very best holiday possible and that they come back to see us again, so we are particularly happy to hear that you will be returning to the Rio Park for future holidays.

Security in any busy destination can be a concern, although to be perfectly fair to Benidorm the Crime Rate is very low. We take all comments from our guests into consideration when we are reviewing our performance and making any changes and so will bear your comments in mind.

We very much look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel Rio Park in the very near future.

Stayed here for second time this year in November 2010. Very clean well run hotel, efficient reception, no problems. Food was on full board basis and always something you could choose from although there was a lot of fish dishes on this occasion which i avoid abroad. Always plenty left no matter what time you went in for dinner etc but food a little cold at times. Good dessert and breakfast selections. Good location, bout 5-10 min walk to anywhere such as beach, shops, square, old town etc. In general Benidorm is a great place but would probably go bout month earlier as its a lot quieter in November and most of people around are older generation who had gone for a few week (ok for some!), still some good entertainment on in main areas tho. Old Benidorm worth a visit, weather in November was pleasant bout 18degrees and sun got out for few hours each day - could wear shorts still tho not really sunbathing weather. All in all a fab holiday and would def return to Benidorm and this hotel.

This hotel is just a couple of blocks away from the beach and shops and one block away from the main street with all the main bars on it. Lots of little bars/cafes around hotel. Staff very friendly and make you feel important. Manager is fabulous and constantly there to make you feel special. Food is wonderful and lots of variety and plenty of it. Evening entertainment is good and the staff shows very funny. Drinks in hotel cheap and plenty of seating. Only bad side to the hotel is that the beds were very hard. Weather was a real let down wet and cold when normally its like a summers day. Travelled with Thomsons and the hotel rep was great, he was very friendly and funny. Benidorm palace and circus was amazing nights outs with great shows.

stayed at this hotel when i was a child and decided to go back after 30yrs! it was fab just as it was then head waiter Jesus was still there but retires dec 15th. spotlessly clean very friendly staff room clean could,nt fault anything. one thing i would say is i would,nt go to this hotel at peak summer as very rowdy and noisy with groups of boys and girls up all night as there is a 24hr bar! i know this cause i stayed at hotel castilla next door last year!

The Rio Park is a very nice, well cared for hotel that offers excellent value for money. The food was very good with a very wide choice for both breakfast and lunch. Coffee and drinks in the bars are very reasonable. There were plenty of sunbeds and chairs with space near the large pool, or on the decking area to sit and relax, the only draw back was having to move around when the sun disappeared behind nearby tall buildings. There is an entertainment programme, which we didn't use but plenty of people did. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the main bar and shopping area but it is a pleasant, easy walk and suitable for wheelchairs. Overall well worth a visit.

after a horrendous hol last year this hotel was recommended by the travel agents and we were not disappointed. The hotel has been re-vamped and everywhere was reallty clean and sleek. The meals were really good with plenty of choice and the desserts were to die for most nights. Most of the staff were really friendly and our maid was loverly and kept our room really clean and we had fresh towels every day.We had to pay for a safe but felt it worthwhile as we had heard of a few mugging just down the yellow brick road and one in the lifts on the day we arrived. The bar staff were not very friendly but the other staff made upfor it on the evenings entertainment they provided. The pool area was really clean and had plenty of sunbeds but the pool was really cold as it was always mainly in the shade so never had a chance to get really warm. The pool bar could do to have the menu revamped to offer a bit more choice. The hotel is in a very good pos just a few min walk down to the pubs and clubs and ten mins to the beach where the prom on a night just comes alive. There were a really lot of old people in the hotel but they had been coming back for years one couple had been back 39 times. At times we felt like we were the youngest couple there so that cheered us up but all the guests were really friendly to one another. The reps were reallty helpful and has plenty of info if you needed it. Overall a really good week and would def go back again.
