Lovely Spanish Hotel with the beach on its doorstep. There's not much English spoken at this Hotel, which made it more appealing to me. The reception staff were first class and we all tried really hard to understand each other, the restaurant food was adequate, breakfast is help yourself to a continental breakfast, whilst the evening meal is chosen from a menu (not in English, but who needs that with Google Translate) The views from the sea view rooms is breathtaking. Old town Benidorm is fantastic. We paid £70 each for 3 nights half board, with sea view. Worth every penny. I will be returning.

Room Tip: Worth paying a little extra for the sea view.

Stayed in March this year and the price was so good I though they had got it wrong. Great location in the Spanish end of the city. Beach and sea on your doorstep as well as excellent places to eat just outside the door. Hotel itself is simple and clean with good views from the balcony I had. Would use again without thinking.

On August 5th last year, on my partner's birthday we were walking around the old town and had a lovely meal here so as we were in Benidorm last week we decided to forego a meal at our hotel, the Rio Park and went here again.

Big mistake, they now have the most surly waiting staff and the food was disgusting, I was rudely told that I couldnt have a solo paella (fair enough, they are not the only ones) and opted for Spaghetti Bolognaise instead. Um...I have tasted better bolognaise out of a tin and what the heck were hard pieces of carrot doing in it???!!!

I asked for a dry white wine and was served sweet wine too. This was changed though.

My partner had the swordfish which was also disgusting and he is a big fan of swordfish. Overall disappointing and a big waste of 30 or so euros. We usually tip very well but really wasnt worth doing so here.

The only thing this place has going for it now is the beautiful setting.

Me and my friends went to this hotel for lucnh the other day whilst on a day trip to Benidorm from Gran Alacant..i can quite safely say that ive never exprienced waiting staff who couldnt care less about the customers. The waiter practically threw our plates on the table whilst being so clumsy as to spill beetroot juice all over my clothes and not even apologise!! The kids meal was brought out cold and when we complained they took ages to rectify the situation and then brought the food out much too hot for the children to eat!! Definately would NOT reccommend Hotel Colon for a meal!
