Just stayed for one night whilst travelling in Northern Spain, great hotel in a wonderful location. Despite the road being dug up outside it is still a very convenient hotel, excellent underground parking easily found and a lovely cafe attached on the side. Easy to walk out and explore the old city, highly recommended.

I was hosted in the Maisonnave during january 2006. I was for tourism reasons, so the location was perfect for me (in the real centre of the old part and phisically 100 mtrs form the hustle and bustle but spiritually kilometrs from it, this is, in 2 minutes you are in Estafeta street or in Plaza del castillo, but the street of the hotel is really quiet).

The Hotel is a tipical spanish 3 star hotel, i mean, it values the money. Depending the season (and exclude San Fermin... 360 euros per night) for 50-60 euros you can have a good room, with a large bathroom, cable tv and sauna in the third floor. The parking rate is 11 euros + 7% VAT each day and if you have come on your own car on a weekday may be a good idea because all the old part is green colured (only for residents) and you must park on other public parkings (not cheap) or in the blue zones (and move the car each 2 hours).

The staff is very useful and they clean quickly the rooms.

Only one complain: some rooms have no sights and can be noisy, but the windows are really good and if you close them you won't hear anything.

I would reccomend it if you are a tourist, but not if you travel on business (then, may be better check the AC or the NH, in the business district).

I stayed 9 days in the Maisonnave and I think it is a very convenient hotel, specially considering its cost. The service is adecquate, the employees are silent and helpful.
The rooms are big and confortable, with nice bathrooms, although many of them have windows with no views at all, and some days there is noise coming from the meeting rooms in the top floors.
The location is excellent, in a silent place but within walking distance to Plaza del Castillo, the Cathedral and other attraction. The hotel has a prtivate parking in its sorroundings, which is speccialy valuable in Pamplona´s ´Casco Viejo´.
In a few words, not an extraordinary hotel but a good and economical place to stay.

Given how difficult it is to find rooms in Pamplona in general (not just around the running of the bulls) we were pleased to end up in a hotel like this on short notice booking. So the most disappointing thing here was the service, which was curt at best. Staff were generally unhelpful, unsmiling and when pressed for (much needed) information - downright rude. Otherwise, this would have been a pleasant experience. Hotel has been upgraded and although the rooms are rather bland decor wise, the space and ammenities were great for the price. Location is great, central in the historical part of Pamplona, easy walking distance to all the main features this great city has to offer.
