“A pleasant stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

The hotel is inside the old town walls in a quiet location. Our stay was pleasant. The positives were their friendly service and clean, modern rooms. The negatives were the small size of the rooms and the difficulty of finding the hotel through the maze of narrow one-way streets. We happened to be staying in Pamplona on their city-wide pub crawl night (every Thursday) where all of the bars offered a tapa and glass of wine or beer for 2 Euros...the streets were packed with revelers well into the night...great fun!

Ive been traveling all over spain for 2 weeks from marabella, benahavis, cordova, madrid, etc. Went to pamplona to run with bulls. I decided to stay additional nights and change hotels. I decided on puerta de camino. I was delighted by the staff and the service. The room i stayed in had a bath tub and a sitting area with white couches and wood floors. The prices are reasonable for the rooms as well as the food/drinks. The restaurant is stunning (part of the old chapel) dont miss out on this hotel. Maya and David in rest/bar are wonderful!

I booked a couple of rooms for the Running of the Bulls, months in advance. We found out a month before that my father-in-law was diagnosed with terminal leukemia. I called to cancel and was told I would have to wait to hear back because of the weekend. I was informed a couple of days later that my reservation was completely non-refundable, under ANY circumstance. I then found out that during those 2 days they charged my credit card in full. I even got a message of apology for not being able to refund from the manager stating he hoped my father-in-law gets better. How insulting is that?!? He has since died and they still will not process a refund. 4K for nothing.... not a credit, not a voucher... nothing. Shame on them.

we visited same hotel 2 years ago and were struck by the fantastic way they decorated this old building, in an Alice in Wonderland style, with black and white tiled floors in the lobby and too low armchairs and small tables... very comfortable rooms, psychedelic lightning in the corridors with lamps shining on endless yards of striped carpet from the bottom... very nice staff and the restaurant in the old chapel, all in white, again like a scene from Alice in Wonderland..
Very good food and lovely breakfast, safe parking and good internet connection

Room Tip: try not to get a corner room because it has crooks and nannies that you cannot use... ask for additi...

Great location and view across to the mountains. Staff were welcoming and helpful. There is parking (extra charge). We didn't eat here but the restaurant is in a converted church. Rooms are comfortable. We stayed here just before the fiesta and really enjoyed it, everything is a short walk from this Hotel

Located at the eastern city gate, this is a very modern, clean and restful hotel. Rooms are beautiful, shower is great and the amenities were of excellent quality. Staff was friendly. It is also a short walk away from downtown Pamplona and Plaza Mayor and a little longer walk from the train station.

We stayed at the Hotel Puerta Del Camino for just one night, the room was lovely, understated but elegant decor and the shower and amenities were great. The shining light for me were the staff, everyone I encountered were helpful and friendly, from the guy on reception who gave lots of great advice on where to go and what to see, such a delight to meet someone clearly passionate about their hotel and city. I had a small problem that I coudnt work the aircon, the receptionist sorted it out immediately and problem solved! She recommended leaving the aircon on whist out as it can be a bit noisy in the night, so coming back to a very cool room we switched it off and as the night got cooler the room stayed at a nice temperature.
Breakfast bit pricey, but top notch.. and in lovely surroundings so great finale to our stay.
Some people commented on it being hard to find, use your sat nav to get there and if you're at font of hotel let them park it for you, if sat nav takes ou to rear press the button and they'll let you in. Dont refuse the valet service we had to chase the chap to tip him so they're doing it because they give great service not becuase they want to fleece you :)
All in all, wonderfully located and great place to stay..
