“The best hostel in Madrid”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

I found Hostal Pizarro by accident, when in a hurry to find a place to stay in the neighbourhood. I was immediately surprised by the friendliness and professional standards of the owners, very uncommon in this kind of establishment. It's clean, it's cosy, and it's comfortable, at least for a few nights' stay.

The place is well located, near gran via, a couple metro stations, and with several bars and interesting places around. The room was big and nicely decorated, and the staff was very helpful all the time. Definitely recommended.

Stayed just one night but was impressed by the standard of decor and furnishings given the price range. a warm welcome despite the language barrier and a clean and quiet place to relax while still be central enough to access the night life and attractions on foot.

It's located few blocks from the metro station "noviciado". Very close to Sol and station Atocha/Renfe in walking distance. We enjoyed our 3 nights stayed and will come back if we ever come to visit Madrid again. Javier and Jose are great hosts. We felt very welcoming.

However, the address is a little difficult to find as it's located at calle pez, we had a mini adventure looking for it.

Highly recommend it. A five stars hostel.

Near to Noviciado metro station, easy to find, charming atmosphere. Staff is friendly, rooms are in good condition and clean (even they changed the towels twice!) We stayed there 2 nights without any problem, price-performance ratio is high ;) For the ones who is searching somewhere to sleep and no luxury.

Nice owner and manager. Knows all abt the city. Great location and spacious rooms. The manager is very helpful. They gave us valuable tips on restaurants. The room was clean with fresh toilet and bathroom.
