I stayed for 7 nights. The location at Plaza de Santa Ana was ideal. Everything one needed was a short walk away. There is a laundromat nearby across the plaza and a small grocery store on a street immediately behind the hotel. Previous posts mentioned the proximity to the museums and other attractions.
The room was tiny! We were on in interior air shaft room, but we spent so little time in the room with Spain's nightlife that we didn't care about view. The rooftop bar did give us a bit of noise at night, but not too much. The one thing I would suggest as a change would be to get rid of the super-overpriced mini bar in the room. It takes up too much valuable space.
The bars and restaurant in the hotel are ridiculous in price, fortunately there are so many surrounding choices that you don't need to use them.
Security note. A friend with me had her purse stolen from the lobby of the hotel. Honestly, she wasn't watching it like she should have been, but it was discovered quickly. The staff jumped to action, helped her to contact the police, the credit card companies, and gave the security tape to the police. Then sent a apology card and fruit plate to her room.
The bed was like sleeping in heaven! I have never slept so well.
