“Perfect location, helpful and friendly staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

Very cozy rooms, clean and quiet, but in the middle of everything. Bars, restaurants, breakfast places, everything is just few steps away, location couldn't be better. Staff is great, helped us with everything we asked. Special thanks to Jesus for his friendliness ☺️ Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed with a group of friends for five nights at the Catalonia las Cortes. The hotel is located in the Old Town, in easy walking distance to the major museums, such as the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemizsa Museum. Also close to the charming Plaza Santa Ana with lots of good restaurants and tapa bars. The hotel has very well appointed guest rooms a nice restaurant serving an excellent and rich breakfast buffet. The staff is very helpful. Overall, a very nice place to stay in Madrid.

After a bus ride from the airport, my son and I checked into a great room with a balcony overlooking the street with a view of the plaza. the staff was very helpful, keeping safe my RM football tickets that had arrived several days prior. The room was big and clean, the bathrooms excellent, and the staff helpful. The location is great for access the the major attractions and the nicest plaza, Plaza Santa Anna.

Room Tip: Room 302 is a great room for 2

Recommended by Gemma at MC&C Tours as one with convenient location. Was very happy - good location, great staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Only 5-10 minute walk down to Prado Museum, and 5-10 minutes the other direction put in you Plaza del Sol, with Plaza Santa Maria in between. We had 2 rooms since we were 4 (with two teenage boys) and were very happy.

Hotel is located close to everything. Room was clean but rather small. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room since breakfast was an additional charge. Cute little coffee shop down the street from hotel.
The room was a little noisy with tile floor in the hallways so you could hear all roller bags.

I made this hotel change at the last moment from the well reviewed Artrip Hotel, good hotel, location, well, as to this Hotel it is located within a thirty minute walk from anywhere in this tourist district, and not that far from the main downtown area, the room we had was on the fourth floor very large and modern. Refrigerator did not work but outside the window was sufficient. I t a romantic small hotel, that has breakfast and a small bar. The only thing as has been reported by others is the internet service, however it seems to be the norm around Spain with wifi providers, long passwords and spotty service connections and the constant need to reconnect, annoying but hardly reason to complain, just letting you know in advance, this needs some attention, but don't judge or book your stay because of this. Bathroom modern large and hot water!!! there is a heating rack for drying your clothes. The bed could sleep four!!!!

Room Tip: I would ask what rooms are available based on your expectation, our room was an upgrade.you can alwa...

I have been visiting Madrid for a number of years and I can only highly recommend this hotel as the best yet - the staff in the hotel made you feel comfortable from the moment we walked in the front door , the room was really big and despite being near a busy square the room was sound-proofed allowing you to have a fantastic sleep. If I am back in Madrid I will be coming back to this hotel without a second thought. Great location right in the centre of Madrid.
