We stayed in Exe Moncloa for a family trip to Madrid for 1 week. Our children had a room on the second floor with a view of the front (metro entrance) but our room was on the fourth floor with a less good view, this was very loud on a Friday and Saturday night as there are bars around the back but nevertheless this wasn't the hotels fault.

The staff are excellent and receptionists very helpful. The view from the rooftop is wonderfull and a great view of Casa de Campo. The pool great for a cool down, but not actual swimming.

This hotel is in a fantastic, I mean fantastic location. Lovely street in Moncloa and a stones throw from the Calle Princesa also only 5 stops on Line 3 of the Metro to Sol (el centro). The entrance to the Moncloa Metro station is literally over the road with a brand new entrance, all you do is cross the road and walk into the air conditioned reception area.

All round a great hotel would recommend it highly.

Had a very nice stay,
Due to the time of arrival (1am) we couldn't have 2 rooms on the same floor (no problem for us)
Helpful staff &the cleaning ladies know their job: very clean & modern hotel
Nice to know: metro Moncloa stops in front of the hotel with a direct line to the citycentre !

We have just checked out of the hotel and are waiting in the lovely Mercado De Moncloa adjacent to the hotel enjoying a beer before we head on to our next destination. This is our 3rd visit to Madrid and the Moncloa is definitely the nicest place we have stayed in. It is directly opposite the subway and only a 15 min walk away from Gran Via and the city centre.

The rooms are nicely decorated and of a good size and the bathrooms are especially nice. Check in was hassle free with staff very friendly and speaking good English.

The roof top area offers super views of the city and has a nice albeit small pool. The lounging area is comfortable for sunbathing.

All in all, I couldn't recommended the Exe Moncloa highly enough and am looking forward to coming back here on the 24th for our last night in Spain.

Stayed at Exe Moncloa for a weekend city break. The hotel is nice and easy to get to by Metro from the airport thanks to directions from another reviewer. Clean, smart rooms and great shower. Little disappointed we couldn't get out onto the roof terrace or into the sauna/steam during our stay but not a deal breaker. The hotel is in the perfect location to get into the city quickly to explore and go for food and drinks. Only downside to the hotel is that some reviews say there are lots of restaurants and bars outside the hotel which isn't strictly true. However as mentioned so close to the city it didn't really matter. Had a lovely weekend all the same.

New modern hotel with low end finishing. Booked a single room and was given exactly that ... A single bed in a box room. After requesting another pillow as was just given one (they said no) I took a shower and the whole bathroom flooded so was moved into another (double) room which was fine size wise. I stay in approx 30 hotels a year and this is the worst sound proofing I have EVER experienced. I am writing this at 4am as you won't be able to sleep. You can hear the people staying clear their throats and talk lightly in the rooms above, below and either side. The floors are all wood so you can hear clomping all the time as well as maids outside chatting. FYI the pool is approx the size of 4 baths and v dirty. If you're looking to party and just require somewhere as a base this is great ... However if you're looking to actually sleep pay a little extra and stay elsewhere otherwise your trip will be ruined. FYI wifi is horrifically bad - don't expect to be able to stream anything, even spotify.

Overall very nice place to stay in. Rooms very clean and spacious, subway station directly opposite of hotel entrance, the breakfast buffet was very good and cheap (10 EUR), free and fast wifi. Only three (small!) downsides: (i) it's Madrid so it's noisy ;-), (ii) the gym is poorly equipped (I think 3 cardio machines, ok, but only a small set of dumbells) and the pool was closed and superdirty when I was there, and (iii) the faucet/sink arrangement in the bathroom is a joke: the faucet is so far to the left of a (nively) large sink that you can't even wash your hands without spilling water all over the place. But again, all in all, a good place I would stay in again.

Room Tip: Away from elevators and higher up to avoid street noise

Excellent location, very clean, spacious, modern, helpful staff, good value for money. Great tapas bars and restaurants all around, underground in front, free wifi, very good terrace at the top. Highly recommended.
