“sweet hotel and cute receptionist”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

The receptionist is shy, cute and very helpful. He knows Madrid well and gave good recommendations.
The location is amazing. It's quite close to the very center of Madrid, Puerta del Sol, and there are many restaurants and bars gathering around. Although it's a bit noisy at night, we still have great fun.
The hotel and its rooms are not big but very sweet. We had a room called sweetie or candies, which I am not quite sure now. And it's pink and very feminine. However, the shower had a tiny problem of electricity leakage. It's yet very safe and I am not sure if that was a wrong feeling. But I hope that could be fixed.
Here's a tip. We arrived there very early and it was not easy to call the receptionist down. So if you have the same situation, it's better to tell them in advance.

Room Tip: The rooms are of different names and decorations. So if you have any preference or curiosity, you...

Wow - unbelievable value for money. The location was superb, can't get much more central and the young guy running the place is so sweet and helpful. He recommended I have dinner in a place down the street (Victoria Ave I think) and it was great. I mostly stay in 5 star hotels, and not even many 5 star hotels have a two sets of window doors with a blackout to keep out ALL the noise and light! Amazing. Shower was wonderful as well, 3 different ways of showering you with the water like at a spa. I wasn't expecting air con for the price. Excellent!

Very central (but still quiet), very clean, nice, friendly staff, airconditioning, looked as if it just opened yesterday (new), small balcony facing the street, very good bed, small fridge in the room. Absolutely recommended! We (my wife and I) paid 110 € for two nights.

It is very nice hotel. It is very close to SOL square and tourist bus. Room and bath is quite small. Bed quality is normal. It is very cleaned. There is nice TV screen. There is not left. Receptions staff was very helpful and cooperation. This hotel was remarkable in location , staff and clean

We booked this hotel as looking on line it seemed to be in a good location, was very good value yet had great reviews and those people weren't wrong! The location was absolutely perfect with regards to nightlife and transport and after exploring for a couple of days we could see that couldn't have been much better. Also the room itself was lovely - single room was small but perfectly formed with great insulation against the noise and buzz that goes on to the small hours. (2 double glazed doors and electric blind) It has obviously been very recently refurbished and has quite a luxurious feel about it down to a large screen TV and shower you would expect in a luxury spa hotel! My biggest query is why is this only a 2 star?! I would definitely recommend it.

My sister and I spent a 3-night weekend here. I could not fault it. Central position was superb for bars and restaurants and proximity to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor and important sites, and only a few minutes walk from the metro at Sol or Sevilla. The rooms were spotlessly clean and modern, evidently very new. The shower was something you would expect to see in a 5 star hotel (although the shower cubicle was perhaps a little small to really appreciate it!). I would never have expected to find a largish flat screen TV, quiet and efficient aircon, fridge, hairdryer and safe in a hotel in this price range. As the streets around the hotel are buzzing with nightlife, the double set of double-glazed sliding doors onto the little balcony overlooking the street with an electrically-controlled metal blind between them was pretty successful at cutting out street noise. And the service was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

stayed here for 5 nights (5-10th june 2013).

My room for 1 person was of a nice size.
Great modern bathroom and superb shower! I had hot water quickly. Bed was good and comfortable. My room was located at the sidestreet (Calle Pozo), not directe on calle cruz;. for me The noise from the terraces and bars wasn't a problem. That double double glazing did the job for me! Airco worked also fine.

Madrid City Room its located on the second floor, for me no problem; but maybe for some of you it is, because there is no elevator in the building.

Great overall location, public transport very close (subwaystation sol is easiest since it serves 3 metrolines). The surrounding neighbourhood itself is packed with bars, restaurants, clubs, supermarket etc!

Staff was very friendly and helpfull (with luggage, questions, printing etc) a big thumbs up for that!
This place I would choose again when going back to Madrid.

The city itself is offcourse excellent. Superb museums, great parks, shopping, bars and restaurants. In Madrid they like to live on the streets till late, which I actually like a lot!
places like La Latina or Plaza Santa Ana are really great for good dining!

If you have enough days make a day trip to Toledo!!
