Perfect location in the uptown area but central. Everything perfect, service, views (Castellana Park Avenue), room, roomservice, travel agency, perfect food and incredible friendly and professional team.

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel, mid-September 2012. I chose it as it's located close to the main avenues of Madrid, hence easy to reach the airport. The room was very quirky, with a huge miror leaning on a wall. The bathroom was modern and spacious. Dressing gownes and slippers were provided which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was a bit expensive but worth the cost. Worst case scenario, you have a VIPS and a Starbucks at the door...

Great room, great value very helpful and friendly and helpful staff and perfect location. All good things to say about this place, especially after spending our first night in Madrid in a complete hole that's rated way too high here. After three good to great nh experiences, I'd probably seek out their properties in the future. This hotel clinched it.

Room Tip: Just check the temperature control to make sure it works. We had trouble in our first room, but wer...

My boyfriend and I made non refundable reservations at the NH Paseo del Prado hotel on the NH web site to take advantage of a discount. We went straight to the hotel by cab from the airport (took about 20 minutes and cost 20 euros). We stayed in Room 605 which was small, and on the back side with no view, but it worked perfectly for us. We dropped our bags with the desk as our room wasn't ready at 11:00 AM. We walked around Retiro Parl, had lunch and returned. The room had a queen bed, ample space for our bags, nice closet, great bathroom with a rain head shower and a bidet. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We did not have the breakfast, but ate across the street at VIPS which served an English breakfast for a reasonable price (much less than the 19 euros at the hotel, but not as nice a spread). For us the location was perfect. It is across the plaza from the Ritz and the Prado Museum and about a 10 minute walk to Atocha Station. Most things tourists want are within walking distance from the hotel which is in the "museum district." It is about a 15 minute walk to Plaza Mayor.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the fountain you need to ask for it and will pay extra. The plaza is busy so a...

Just returned from Madrid, had a great stay, room brilliant, staff excellent. No need to pay hotel price for breakfast, plenty of opportunity to purchase a lot better and price close by. Coffee machine in room, quick fix but Star bucks next door, large coffee. No problem to stay again. Would greatly recommend.

Room Tip: Room facilities excellent

This hotel as has been stated has an excellent location and that is why we chose it. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately my wife prefers a bathtub and I had not checked this. It was important because we were staying three nights and she enjoys reading in the bath. We were informed that the only way to have a room with a bath tub as to pay for an upgrade at €50 a night. After a hard gulp I agreed to this and we got room 217 which is amazing. It is obviously unique on a corner and the only one with a balcony. My wife felt like Eva Peron waving to the populace. The room itself was large and comfortable but because the building is eccentrically shaped there is only just enough space between the bed and the wall. The bathroom had an enormous tub with a Jacuzzi and it was clearly designed for 2 to bath together. There was a large walk in shower. There were 2 basins and both had leaking plugs although we had asked for these to have been fixed. The air conditioning needed the maintenance man to get it going so it might not be wise to check in during the night.
Breakfast was €19 if you pay the day before. It was OK but not worth the price and after the first day we went to places opposite.
Free Wi-Fi and lovely hangars were appreciated.
If I could afford room 217 I would certainly stay here again.

This hotel is ideally situated opposite the Prado, a ten minute walk from Attocha rail station and close to the wonderful retiro park.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Our sixth floor back room was small but modern and very quiet. There was a large shower, twin beds and all the usual amenities. Nice complimentary toiletries.

we chose not to pay 25 euros for breakfast, opting instead for a good meal nearby for five euros. The hotel has many good restaurants and bars nearby. We particularly liked Santa Ana plaza.

Checkout was noon which was helpful and you can pay for additional hours. Bags can be left free of charge at reception too.

Overall a lovely hotel in a great location. I would happily return and recommend.
