“A good option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

The Hotel is well situated in the city, very close to several food outlet plus the vicinity of El Corte Ingles - departmental store with a food market attached. Puerta del sol, the centre of Madrid is a
mere klometre from the Hotel.

The place is 3 stars hotel & the guys at reception are quite friendly though French is barely spoken. The room is comfortable & good standard, with free WIFI connection.

The negative side:

I think a hospitality tray in the room, would brighten the day..98 % of T.V channel is in Spanish

A treat for those who would like to take a Spanish crash course !! The complimentary news paper
are also in Spanish.

The best location in the city.. Located in the center of Madrid and convenient to all places we wanted to go. Hotel employees were all friendly and very helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The location was good but thats about it. I was traveling with my husband and stayed 3 nights. On our last night, we were expecting another couple who were also visiting from the US. We kept asking at the reception if they have checked in and were told repeatedly that they had not, and there was noone by that name on their list. Our friends had indeed checked in, and were never given the message we had left for them. Later at night we called reception again and with very poor english were told that maybe our friends checked in at a different Petit Palace! We were upset that we couldnt see our friends and all because someone at the reception couldnt understand enough english to sort out the issue.
The sub block curtain in the room was torn so we couldnt completely block our the street lights (Room 402) and there was not a single english channel on TV. Not even an international news channel.

I asked for a room with two twin double beds and received a room with 1 king size bed. The room was very cramped and facing the back alley of the hotel.

Location was brilliant, but the room was a little shabby and not maintained. The safe didn't work and the noise from other people taking a shower disturbed us at night. The window couldn't be opened because there was no means of keeping it open. Breakfast was very good and staff were very nice and helpful.

This hotel was fantastically situated in the city, walking distance to everything. Hotel was lovely, room was a bit cramped, but bathroom was huge. Enjoyed our stay.
