This a beautifully appointed, very modern hotel. The room was huge; bigger than many studio apartments. The room is decorated in a beautiful modern design, dramatic lighting and has interesting touches like vases, woven wall hangings and even and ostrich egg "conversation piece". This hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood which means it is wonderfully peaceful at night. Of course, this also means that there are no nearby restaurants either - eat before you return in the evening. The staff was responsive, although less friendly than in some other locations. I have only two negative comments. It is nearly impossible to open the shampoo etc... as they are tubes with foil seals that cannot be removed - good thing there are pencils in the rooms to pierce the foil. The front desk seemed nonplused about my comments regarding the amenities and the fact that they cannot be opened - they told me they often get this complaint (so why not fix it?). The other minor issue was that there is a rather large kitchen in the room and grocery store down the street. Only after returning from the grocery store did I discover that the kitchen doesn't work and that there are neither plates, glasses, utensils pots nor any expected items in the cupboards. The staff explained that they could not get permits for kitchens in the room so they are inoperable. I do recommend they mention this to guests as they check in. I did mange to get a plate and utensils from room service, and the microwave does work so I could make due.
So, really only two relatively minor issues, otherwise this is a great hotel and a great choice while in Madrid.

  • Liked — HUGE room, quite area,
  • Disliked — It is impossible to open the shampoo (as silly as that sounds)
  • Tips/Secrets: — Only the microwave works, not the whole kitchen

The hotel itself is brand new and architecturally a treat. The basic suite is huge and well worth the price. Unfortunately, the staff has almost zero personality and don't even try to be helpful. A smile or a "thank you" is foriegn to them. Don't touch the minibar (prices are 10X the norm). The supermarket is only 4 blocks away. The doorman was the only smile we saw. The spa has many rules, ask before you go so you don't get scolded. A simple 10 minute tour of the hotel should be included on the first day but isn't - too bad the people don't match the beautiful building. No breakfast included-$18EUR extra (tastes great though). Free airport shuttle is available BUT must be reserved, call ahead before you arrive.

Very impressed with this hotel, beautiful throughout, huge rooms even the cheapest rooms are fantastic. The staff can't do enough for you they are so helpful and friendly which makes a huge difference!

Shopping centre 10 minute walk nearby which is ok for breakfast if you are room only or find the breakfast expensive at 15 euros.

Metro is about a 5 minute walk and you can get into the centre of Madrid quite easly for 1euro, a bargain compared to the UK !

Hotel is used by Real Madrid football players before a game. Rhud Van Nistelroy happen to sign for Madrid the weekend we were there and my husband saw him in the lobby and had his photo took with him, so if you go in footy season you may well bump into some famous footy stars! If they stay there you know its got to be a good hotel!

Will definately go back, our stay wasn't long enough!

I moved to Mirasierra Suites Hotel, after the previous hotel that I checked into had a non-functionaing AC. Booked online at expedia and then turned up at the hotel before they had recieved the booking from expedia, the staff was very helpful and still checked me in without any problems. Stayed for 7 nights. Hotel lobby is excellent as of a deserving 5 star place. It is located in the outer suburbs of Madrid so probably not very convenient for going out into the city, although the metro is about 5 min walk. There are hardly any bars or restaurants nearby, though the hotel bar and restaurant are pretty good.

The best bit was the cleaniness of the hotel and the rooms. The room are fantastic size, literally 500 sqft, for £110 a night, very comfortable beds, fantastic marble bath and a seperate shower, walk in cupboard area. For comfort and hotel facilites I will award it 5 out of 5, for access to city center and eating out 3 out of 5.

  • Liked — The room, the staff at front desk and conceirge
  • Disliked — Room service was poor

Great rooms- good quality, clean, spacious. The Spa part of the hotel is okay- I'd give it 3 stars, the hotel is definately a 4 star hotel though. It's about a 12,00 Euro taxi ride to the city center; nothing really close by for walking; you can see the Sierras from you window though.
