“Cozy hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2014

This hotel is very welcoming. It is located in Ciudad Universitaria and has a fast access to M-30 road. Rooms are comfortable but small. The staff people were friendly during my stay. Breakfast is good but scarce, nothing exceptional. The only thing I disliked was the parking. You have to maneuver hundreds of times until reaching the exit. I think it is not the best hotel if you want to visit Madrid centre but it's perfect for one night stay if you are passing by.

The approach to this hotel is not that exciting but if you are looking for a well run hotel near the university this is the perfect place. Close to two metro stations on different lines, in a pleasant suberb with a good range of shops, including a large Corte English and some nice places to eat. Rooms are very pleasant and spacious and the staff are efficient and helpful. Being primarily a business hotel, weekend rates are attractive. Half an hour from the major sites And half the price of central hotels.
Check out the dining room up the street with the fridge in the wall! Great value and service.

Room Tip: Even rooms overlooking the main road are quiet.

A decent, modern hotel. Rooms are ok, but not large. Breakfast is pretty simple. Nothing special here. The hotel offers free wifi in the lobby, but if you ask for a low floor room, it will also be possible to have it in your room for free. (Not of this era to have it for free in the lobby, and to charge you for it in your room - in my opinion.) The tv set gives you a very limited choice of channels. Main problem is the distance to the metro. The nearest one has no direct access to the city centre. Better walk a bit further (Cuatro Caminos). However that is quite a distance… Do they try to let you feel at home here? No, certainly not - a bit disappointing. In earlier reviews we read about free soft drinks from the minibar: that facility has stopped. Summary: if the price is low enough this hotel is an option. Otherwise: there must be better possibilities.

Room Tip: Low floor gives free wifi

This is a clean, comfortable place to stay if you need to be in this part of Madrid. I stayed here twice in the last month. The place is run efficiently by helpful, bilingual staff who worked hard to accommodate my needs. The rooms are typically small (it's Europe), but had everything I needed. The decor is "sleek and modern" as all their promotional material states. The restaurant is surprisingly good and reasonable, though the offerings are few. I had an early flight to catch before the restaurant opened (7:00), but room service managed a fruit salad and coffee. No pool or other "extras". Note that, although there are convenient metro and bus connections at Cuatro Caminos (two blocks walk), this hotel is nowhere near any of Madrid's tourist attractions. This is basically a residential area.

Great location by the subway entrance of Guzman El bueno, one stop from Cuatro Caminos and two from Nuevos ministarios. Excellent service. The rooms are pretty clean and comfortable, I recommend the king suit with the terrace, that's the best room the hotel. Great shower.
The only downside of the hotel is that there is no much variety on the food menu, but there are some bars and restaurants close by and you can always order takeaway delivered from La Nevera Roja ! there are tons of restaurants that will deliver to your room. The gym is quite small in the middle of the whole of the 4th floor, which I din't like much.

Room Tip: the king size suit is the best room in the hotel

Our stay in Los Vascos was pleasant. The hotel is located very close to our family home, and thus, very convenient for that particular stay in Madrid. I only would like having a free wifi in the room.

If you are on business or in a short trip in Madrid, this hotel is fine. If you rent a car, they have parking spaces (very hard to find in Madrid) and you can also find parking spaces in the streets nearby. They are located next to a block with many restaurants, a supermarket, a farmacy and even hair salons for men and women. Rooms are ok, nice beds, but they need a little more lights to put on make up, and also they need to be a little more clean in the bathrooms. It would have been perfect hotel if it looked cleaner.
