“Too big to impress”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

By far the biggest hotel I've ever been to. And frankly said: too big. Despite the fact that all the amenities of the hotel don't leave room for any concrete complaint, you never really get comfortable with this place. The lobby is so huge it would require a bike to get from one end to the other in a reasonable amount of time. I really wonder what the purpose of such a big building was in the first place since I have doubts that the hotel ever gets close to beeing fully booked despite the conference center inside. The food is very good though, the staff friendly. And the location is unique: over ten miles outside Madrid without any public transportation except for taxis (that really rip you off...). So if you're sent there by your employer to attend a conference he can be sure you won't easily escape to any sightseeing, let alone shopping...

Dear client, we are sorry our hotel did not meet all your expectations. We must say we get very often the hotel fully booked, our main target is the congresses and conventions and that is why this hotel was built in the first time.
It's a pity you did not notice there's a bus station right in front of the hotel where you can take public transport buses to get to Madrid in 10-20 min ish.
We are happy you liked the food as well as our staff.
Thank you for posting this review sharing your experience.
Hope to see you soon back.

Kindest regards,

My first trip to Madrid on business lead to a hotel that is very near the airport (you can see the airport clearly from the hotel). Yet the taxi drivers will just rip you off anyway and add charges as they see fit. I was charged €28 for my one-way taxi and a colleague was charged €38. Don't use taxis. The location is ok for the airport, but there is nothing walking distance. Staff were friendly and the hotel rooms were large, but basic. Bar / restaurant is nice but expensive. Not somewhere to stay on anything other than business.

This must have been one of General Francos last projects. Its a pretty grim hotel in the middle of nowhere with very little charm. The building is next to a meat freezer centre and the reception is a little odd. The rooms were OK isn but lacked anything warming or personal. The food was OK and the bar was busy with staff washing glasses and clearing plates. Serving customers was a secondary activity. I tried to take the bus to the airport but the bus didn't arrive so I took a taxi. Poor effort Spain, given the high level of unemployment you should get more staff. Poor uncle frank would be turning in his grave.

Dear client, we are really sorry your experience was not as positive as that of others. If the style was something did not appeal to you we are happy to tell you we are already refurbishing the hotel - as we are you you noticed in the main gallery, buffet and snack bar - and by the end of summer we will have had the whole hotel changed with a newer and modern style.
Regarding the bar we will pass this information to the department involved so that this does not happen again.
With regard to the shuttle bus it must have happened something unusual or you might have tried to take it after their schedule. Next time we suggest you ask in the reception to confirm this.
We are sorry again and would like to thank you for sharing this with us and highlighting areas where improvement may be found.

Kind regards ;)

The hotel is very 70s/80s, and it shows. Nothing has been rennovated since, and a lot of the rooms smell 'funky'.

There is little noise insulation, it is not cheap, and the location is awful! You are miles from madrid, and can't even get to the restaurants a few hundred metres away because of the main roads and motorways!

If you have any choice, don't stay here, sadly however if you are like me will have a conference here, so may find yourself forced in to it. In which case go with your eyes wide open, and if can can stay somewhere else, do so.

This hotel seems great, good food quality, staff that speak english, nice clean comfortable room. The free airport shuttle runs frequently although it seems non of the local hotels have direct lines from the airport. The room was very clean and the restaurant has a great breakfast for 12 Euros. I will be staying here again. Thanks!

This hotel is simply too big -you feel lost inside. I got there around 2am on a tough night -a lot of delayed flights because of a storm- and it took me ages to get checked-in.

The room was huge but not very welcoming. It's recommendable anyway considering its very low price.

Been here a couple of times with colleagues and its great for conferences. It located close to the airport - 10 min by taxi. They have good conference facilities, good rooms, wifi across all rooms and the food is great. The only downsides are that its located close to the motorway (which makes it less interesting to take a break outside in the sun), it far from Madrid city center so it takes some time getting into Madrid and back again during the evenings, the wifi is very limitied in bandwith. But overall - its an ok place to have a conference.

Dear client, thank you so much for your comments about Hotel Auditorium. We are really glad you liked the meeting facilities as well as the rooms and food. Regarding the wi-fi it depends on the amount of people using it and how (downloading videos or just surfing the web) but it usually works pretty well.
We hope you had a great time during your stay and hope to see you back soon.

Kindest regards ;)
