we -me and my wife- stayed there for 6 nights in November and nearly everything was very good.
1. location: as mentioned by all the comments of previous travelers, the location is more than good. It is superb. you will smell life in the "Del Sol" which is the very center of the city. a lot of "everything" is around you. metro, buses, shopping centers (a lot of them) are a few steps away. the hotel is located in the 4th floor of a 4 story building.
2. colorful: In the photos from this hotel I'd seen that the rooms are painted with scream colors and in fact when you come back to your room -after such an active day- it tells you don't be tired there are nice colors in the world.
3. helpful staff: all of them are very helpful and ready to solve your problem. they told us the addresses, directed us, talked with us even about social and political issues and they are real professionals in their job.
4. the rooms are large and spacious. those which open to the street are very noisy and the first night we couldn't sleep because of the sound of the drunk people in the street at around 3 a.m., but they changed our room and the second one was very cozy. the bathrooms of the two rooms were small but they were tolerable. it would be better if they put slippers in the rooms. the wi-fi was very good. there is an extra laptop in the hall and it is useful when you are two and you have just one laptop.
5. "Del Sol": if you want to see some very attractive shows don't miss the "Del Sol" square at night, especially on holidays.
6. Breakfast: the only problem is breakfast. they don't serve breakfast. but it gives you a freedom to choose from a lot of choices around the hostal.
7. Price: it is really a good deal.

Room Tip: the rooms which open to the street are bright but noisy in the midnight.

I have stayed at Hostel Adriano many times, it is my favourite place to stay. The rooms are clean, great show, friendly friendly staff, communication via email prompt and all questions answered. This trip I had a late flight and the staff allowed me to have late check out (8pm) at no extra cost!!! I was prepared to pay, but no, they noted that I have stayed here alot and I guess since they didn't need the room (not busy right now), it was easy to allow this and I appreciate it alot. I recommend this place to all my friends and will stay here whenever I arrive in Madrid. Also the location is perfect, walking distance to Sol and many many great places to eat and drink nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for room with balcony, the other rooms inside are a bit smaller, but still nice rooms.

This is my third time staying at this place and I have to say it never disappoints. The location is right in the middle of the city, the rooms are simple and basic and the staff is always really friendly and willing to help. This time we stayed for 10 nights and took one day trip to Salamanca, the morning we were departing to Salamanca we were running late so we asked if we could pay for the night and keep the room so that we didnt have to hassle with packing which they did have vacancy so they we left and upon departure we asked to pay for the additional night the desk clerk told us that since we were returning guest and had stayed for so long they were not going to charge us for the additional night. This was a pleasant surprise as we intended and expected to pay. Needless to say THANK YOU Hostal Adriano for an great stay and not just because you waived the night but for always making me feel so welcome i visit Madrid.

We are 3 people and the hotel suggested us to book a double room with an extra bed at €59/nite. When we arrived around 8am, it's very kind of them to let us check in right a way. Also, they upgraded us to a triple room without additional charge. The room is spacious. Only the bathroom is a little bit small. Staff are very helpful and one of them is quite handsome. Location is excellent, only two minutes from metro station. The only thing I don't like is the poor wifi reception in room. But we can sit in the public sitting room where wifi is excellent. I definitely recommend this hostal to everyone who wanna visit Madrid.

We stayed one night at this small hotel for before our departure from Spain the following morning, and it was an excellent choice. We originally booked the sister hotel, the Hostal Adria Santa Ana, but as this one had a lift and other other did not, and they had space available, we accepted the offer to stay at the Adriano. The staff were very helpful in giving directions on how to get there, and on navigating the public transportation system to the airport (Cercanías to Nuevos Ministerios stop, then Metro Line 8 to Aeropuerto T1-2-3, relatively efficient). The room was clean and comfortable, with free wi-fi. I would stay here again.

Centrally located, very walkable from here to all the major Madrid sights and the Renfe station. Friendly staff who did a very good job in keeping the room tidy. Price is unbelievably low for what you get in return. Room was a little small, Sleep quality was high apart from the noise down below on Saturday night.

Don't let the price of this place fool you, it's cheap but it's a very solid property. We paid 49 euro a night and it was definitely a good deal. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the Sol metro stop. The room was clean the staff very friendly.

The bathroom was exceptionally small, even for a small person. On the plus side, if you need a little "extra" room, there's a community bathroom in the hall.

The noise from the street was usually not too bad but I think there's a club nearby because each night at 4 or 5 am we would be awoken by people yelling in the streets. Such is life in a big city.

Bottom line.. stay here. It's inexpensive, close to public transportation, in a very safe area, and a great location especially for tourists.
