“A comfortable, inexpensive hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

We stayed one night at this small hotel for before our departure from Spain the following morning, and it was an excellent choice. We originally booked the sister hotel, the Hostal Adria Santa Ana, but as this one had a lift and other other did not, and they had space available, we accepted the offer to stay at the Adriano. The staff were very helpful in giving directions on how to get there, and on navigating the public transportation system to the airport (Cercanías to Nuevos Ministerios stop, then Metro Line 8 to Aeropuerto T1-2-3, relatively efficient). The room was clean and comfortable, with free wi-fi. I would stay here again.

Centrally located, very walkable from here to all the major Madrid sights and the Renfe station. Friendly staff who did a very good job in keeping the room tidy. Price is unbelievably low for what you get in return. Room was a little small, Sleep quality was high apart from the noise down below on Saturday night.

Don't let the price of this place fool you, it's cheap but it's a very solid property. We paid 49 euro a night and it was definitely a good deal. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the Sol metro stop. The room was clean the staff very friendly.

The bathroom was exceptionally small, even for a small person. On the plus side, if you need a little "extra" room, there's a community bathroom in the hall.

The noise from the street was usually not too bad but I think there's a club nearby because each night at 4 or 5 am we would be awoken by people yelling in the streets. Such is life in a big city.

Bottom line.. stay here. It's inexpensive, close to public transportation, in a very safe area, and a great location especially for tourists.

This place is a gem. Very friendly, helpful staff at the desk. Our room was clean and totally serviceable. The Hostel is conveniently located to public transport and restaurants. We had a great time in Madrid and would definitely stay at Hostal Adriano again if we are in Madrid.

The Hostal is in a very convenient location, is immaculate and well maintained. The staff was very helpful, sent directions describing the best ways to get to the hostal. It is on a busy street so there is some street noise, but not loud music. There is an elevator so being on the 4th floor is no problem. I will definitely stay here again.

A wonderful introduction to Madrid. Within walking distance or easy metro or train access to everything, this is a nice place to base. Rooms are cozy and clean. HIGHLY recommend Taberna del Chato for food, just across the street

Hostal Adriano was a great find for us ...tucked in one of the by-lanes off Puerta del Sol, this 170 year old house has been converted into a small hotel by the family and they run it themselves. Clean, bright, cheerful, well-maintained and most importantly the people were incredibly warm and hospitable. We had a genuine issue with our stay and unlike the other hotels in Spain, these guys were very understanding and willing to help. Made the most of our trip to Madrid thanks to them!
Cheers!!
