Read about Cafe Murillo on a website that said it was close to the Prado museum, so went there for lunch. It's virtually next door so very easy to find.
It was too cold to sit outside but I'd imagine in the spring/summer it would be a gorgeous place to sit and have lunch. Cute tables outside with plants on them.
The inside is gorgeous too. Very stylish, simple interior. The staff are welcoming the minute you get inside. Had a very attentive young waiter, with excellent English.
The food was delicious and very nicely presented. The carpaccio was divine - highly recommend it, and the tomate con pane, was delicious too. Was quite full, but the home made carrot cake was recommended by the waiter, so I did have some. It was amazing!
It's rare that you get a place, where everything is just spot on - the decor, the food, the service, the location. This place is just perfect. If I lived in Madrid, I would be here every day! Absolutely loved it and can't recommend it highly enough.
