“Central location, Red level Club was wonderful !!!!”

A quick 3 day trip to Madrid and a booking on the Red Level !!! It's worth the extra money...trust me.

Good location for the main sites, Prado, Park etc etc.

The Red Level Club was the highlight of the hotel. Good breakfast selection and the most important thing is Moet Champagne available nearly all day !!!!!!!! Breakfast lunch and dinner !!!!

The room itself was very clean, excellent decor. It's a European size Bathroom so please watch your expectations....it still an excellent value overall

Stayed early July 2014 for 2 nights. had booked a whirlpool room on the red level and noted that it was our anniversary. when we arrived they had upgraded us to a penthouse suite, which was very nice of them. the room was beautiful and very comfortable. Red level was a big plus and I would definitely recommend. I have to especially commend the personal concierge Beatriz. she was very helpful and friendly.

All in all, a great property from top to bottom. will stay again when I visit madrid in the future.

I booked a grand premium room with jacuzzi for one night this weekend and it was an amazing experience. The room was massive, as well as the terrace and the bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable and the laundry service very fast. On top of that, the red level service was beyond what I was expecting (I used to work in the housekeeping department in high standard hotel) : a polite and smiling staff, always wiling to help you, a private check in desk at the 7th floor, and a nice area with several spirits, wine, champagne and a selection of appetizers. On the same floor, the terrace where you can enjoy a drink or your breakfast is a peaceful place to be, as well as the solarium. On top of that, a talented pianist was playing in the tea room, located on the ground floor, next to the stylish bar of the hotel.
With the sun of Spain, this hotel has anything you would expect for a perfect trip in Madrid.

The hotel is situated in a side street with a magnificent reception
To impress. Friendly English speaking are very helpful. Our room was on the 4th floor, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom , not overly big, but comfortable for one person at a time. Restaurant breakfast was delicious, however the tapas bar service was slow and limited. A nice courtyard great for a coffe.

Room Tip: Ask to see it first, since we heard from other travellers, that they differ in size

I have stayed at many 5 star hotels and this one is my favorite. What made it for my family was being part of the Red Level Service. Beatrix and Susanna were great, booking day trips for us and handling all our needs. Having access to all the wonderful foods, drinks and being able to enjoy these on the roof top balcony or in the beautiful private room was great. I can go on and on but really well done! We were party of 3, my wife and son and were given room 401 a beautiful appointed room , spacious with a huge bed for my wife and I and they rolled in a twin bed for my son whiich was put off to side and the room was still roomy. Private entry hall, double sink bathroom, full tub/shower and door closing off toilet.
There is a Restaurant in hotel which was very good and a Martini Bar which we stopped at after Red Level hours for drinks, all very nice.
Hard Rock has a restaurant attached to hotel ans after a day of touring we ate outside and you would never know you were not in a Spanish street cafe and then you can hop right back to room afterwards.
The hop on hop off bus has 2 routes both picking up around the corner from hotel entrance. This hotel is just outside of the very busy tourist areas, we walked everywhere from hotel plus did hop on hop off bus. I looked on line at Westin Palace when researching and decided to go with Melia Fenix, so glad we did.
After 7 days we were so sad to leave, from bellmen, to front desk, to restaurant staff, houskeepers, everyone... were so accommodating and friendly. The hotel lobby and floors are elegant but never did we feel out of place, it was our home for 6 nights.

The Gran Melia Fenix is a wonderfully appointed hotel with all the features one could ask for; a gym, a salon, English tea service from 1700 to 1900 hours, and a restaurant with both outside and inside accommodations. What makes this hotel special is the service from the door man to the concierge, to the maid and room service. The employees of this hotel go above and beyond every minute and in every interaction that it makes us feel truly special and wanted guests. Another item of special note is that they use Clarins soaps and lotions - my wife assures me they are top quality and they smell wonderful. For people who like a quiet hotel for sleeping, they have two sets of double paned windows and black out curtains hidden behind their beautifully appointed room,, it masks the noise from outside perfectly. If you're looking for a hotel with modern conveniences and traditional charm and feel, look no further.

The bedroom and bath were very well appointed. The toiletries are first class and the bathrobes are scrumptious . The bar is wonderful whether indoors or out.. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The location is within walking distance of the prado, and fashionable shopping. Have breakfast at a nearby Pain Quotidien.
