Nice hotel, well designed, recently restored in an old building. Perfect central place to enjoy the city. Nice room with high quality pure cotton bedclothes. Great breakfast in a cosy environment. Love

Location, Location, Location!

Don't need all-day transit passes -- everything you want to see is within walking distance (except perhaps Bernabeu Stadium). We saw the Royal Palace, Oriental Plaza, Prado Museum, Cibeles Palace and Plaza, Retiro Park, ... the list goes on. Gran Via address brings you close to quintessential Madrid dining or Starbucks if you need a morning jolt of caffeine.

Room was larger than average with full-size tub (great for evening soak!), generous counter space, loveseat, and hardwood floors. Climate controls worked well, although it was warm enough to open the balcony door and let the outside air cool us off. Despite busy vehicle/foot traffic, room was quiet with the balcony door closed.

This hotel is in really good location. Walking distance to many of the attractions. Good nightlife around, restaurants, bars. All the shopping you need right there. Stuff was really nice and helped getting around. The rooms were very clean Evey day. The only thing that was less good was the sleeping quality. little bed and the walls are so small you can hear everything, especially when other people enter their rooms. To sum up, We had a great stay. I really recommend this hotel.

Having wanted to visit Madrid for a while, this hotel has always been at the top of our list to stay at and will remain that way should we ever revisit the city. As soon as we checked in the staff were friendly and more than happy to help, especially when recommending places to see and visit once they found out this was our first visit to the city. Upon booking the hotel we decided to pay the extra for a superior room with city views, something which we are pleased we did and would highly recommend doing. The room was an excellent size, well furnished and nicely decorated, as was all of the hotel. The breakfast was perhaps a little limited, but still a decent selection to choose from. The hotel is in an excellent location on Gran Via and is well situated for all the sights and attractions of Madrid. There are several tapas bars and restaurants local to the hotel and others within walking distance. All in all, a pretty faultless stay and the hotel certainly lived up to our expectations.

Room Tip: Would highly recommend paying the extra for a city view room.

We stayed here for a few days for my partners birthday the hotel was perfect. We have stayed at a few H10 hotels before and this was one of my favourites. The rooms were very clean and presented well. The staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended a few nice places. The hotel is in a great location as you are not too far from the metro or not to far to walk anywhere the majority of the time we walked everywhere. If I was to come back to Madrid, I would recommend staying here, it was a great hotel.

Excellent central location-- walking distance to everything. Very comfortable rooms with clean bathrooms! We expected the rooms to be tiny, but pleasantly surprised when one was actually quite spacious, including the bathroom! However, it smelled like smoke--it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Fortunately, by keeping the balcony door open, the odor eventually disappeared. Nice breakfast buffet (although same menu everyday.) Front desk staff polite & housekeeping friendly. No "official" concierge though, but staff very helpful. Eco-conscious, updated hotel, more renovations in progress. Unfortunately, main elevator broken during our stay. Luckily, the ornamental vintage lift still worked. Overall a good Madrid experience.
