“Cavelike interior rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Like John S, I had an interior room. I had asked for a quiet room, and it was , except for noise from other rooms. But there was no natural light,There were some windows, but they opened onto an interior stairwell and I didn't feel secure opening them. The bed was very comfortable, the location and staff were great, and the room was clean and well equipped, though small. It was a great value, but the room was not for the claustrophobic.

I recently stayed at the Ibis Styles hotel with my sister, for a city break. This was the first time I'd been to Madrid & this hotel seemed to be in a good position for visiting the various galleries. In fact it's within easy walking distance of the Prado, Thyssen & Reina Sofia galleries, as well as very close to the botanical gardens, Retiro Park, the Royal Palace & many major Plazas. The hotel itself is very modern in design. It's spotlessly clean & comfortable, with an excellent breakfast provided. The staff are very friendly, helpful & speak excellent English. We had a twin room with a balcony. The room was spacious with enough wardrobe space for both of us. There was a good sized bathroom & also a safe & fridge in the room. I would definitely stay the Ibis Styles again & would recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid.

Room Tip: Try to book a room with a balcony if possible.

I stayed here in February 2013 for a long weekend. My room was clean; the bed was comfortable; the breakfast was decent. However, when booking, I did not realize that I was booking an interior room without a window. As a result, the room was very warm and stuffy.

This is the best you can get for the price. We got a free upgrade to our room and it was spacious, clean and comfortable—just what we needed for our honeymoon. The location is great as well, really close to the major museums (Paseo del Arte).

Loved everything about this hotel! We were only in Madrid for 1 day and this hotels location allowed us to easily walk to all the major sites. The hotel was recently renovated and our room was spotless. The staff were great and upgraded us to a room on the top floor with a terrace and view! The price was great for a centrally located hotel in one of Europe's largest cities. Would highly recommend!

Room Tip: Although they may not be able to accommodate due to availability, ask for a room on the top floor wi...

We stayed in this hotel for four nights during Dec 2012 which was the first leg of our twelve day Spain trip. The hotel is about ten minutes taxi ride from the train station ,in the middle of the clubbing area and walk able distance from most attractions. We were travelling with our 11 month old so were pleasantly surprised to see a well laid out baby cot on our arrival in the room. The room size if small so thee was hardly any space to move around with the baby cot. The bathrooms are extremely clean and very well stocked (including toothbrush and toothpaste). The reception staff is very helpful and friendly and were going out of their way to help us with the baby. The complimentary breakfast in the hotel is absolutely amazing. The hotel is located on the main street so keep the window closed if you want some privacy and to avoid the noise from late night partying crowd. I wish we had a kettle/microwave in the room as we had to keep going down to the reception to heat up stuff for the baby.Overall great stay !!!

Room Tip: Street facing rooms are a bit noisy!!!

Location was excellent - no more than 10 minutes walk from Puerta Del Sol. Loads of pubs between hotel and Puerta Del Sol. However, depsite this, the hotel was quiet inside and the black out blinds made sure of a good night's sleep.
Recepionists were very helpful and you can leave your bags there on your last day.
Tip: all Madrid streets look the same so make sure you take a hotel card with the address on it. Any other adivse then please message me.
