“Comfortable ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

This hotel is a classic 70/80's style. It is well maintained and clean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel is outside the centre of Madrid, but there are plenty of places for eating and drinking locally. The rooms are a reasonable size with nice well equipped bathrooms. Good selection of complimentary bathroom essentials. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food. All self service, but excellent considering the price. Free Wi fi included in the room. We were in a high top van, and while we couldn't use the hotel car park, there was secure parking locally.

Reception and hotel staff get a 10/10 for customer service.
Breakfast was a very selective spread. time was from 7.30-10.00hrs. value for money.
Room gets a 10/10 for comfort, quietness, cleanliness and space. Bathroom gets a wow, esp the shower.
Location perfect. 23 bus cost 1.50 euros to Plaza Major. esp during the busy post New Year break.

Room Tip: we stayed on the 5th floor, room facing back of hotel. very quiet. i would stay here again as it was...

I will start with the good things. The lobby looked nice. The #23 bus is right outside the hotel, so it was very easy to get to the heart of town and the crowds. (I am glad I didn't stay downtown - so busy). The bathroom was nice. They provided 2 free waters in the fridge.

I arrived on Christmas Day. The man at the front desk barely acknowledged us.
The rooms are extremely basic. The telephone in the room was filthy.
I could hear EVERYTHING in the room next to me, above me, and below me. I could hear the man snoring in the bedroom next to me. I could hear them take showers, go to the bathroom, etc. THEN, in the morning, when the tour groups would leave, the cleaning staff were yelling to each other up and down the hallway. I just wanted to sleep! Forgetaboutit.

I had a room facing the main street, but saw into some of the interior rooms. HORRIBLE.
The room did not have any decoration like a painting or print of anything. They also charge you for a key to the lock box.

I learned my lesson, and knew better. Hotels that say 4* in Europe, and really 2.5-3*. Never again.

Room Tip: Do not get an interior room.

More of a three star hotel.
Good position, good breakfast, clean rooms. Lots of restaurants nearby. A supermarket across the street.
Do not stay on the top floor. It is noisy because of the elevator.
Overall, an ok stay. I would stay again.

Great location, although it's not near the city centre. Bus stop is just outside the hotel and brings you all the way to the city centre (5-minute walk to Plaza Mayor is the last bus stop so you won't get lost). It's not a fancy hotel but good enough to have a good sleep and be ready for the next day's exploration of Madrid. Behind the hotel is a very nice park you can take a walk. A lot of locals go to the park to exercise, walk, stroll, etc. You should see this park as well.

Breakfast buffet is good, not much you can expect, but great enough to fill your stomach with enough choices.

I never had any issues with the hotel. Front desk clerks are accommodating, just try to maybe explain a bit slower if they can't understand your English clearly at first. They're very nice.

There are also small restaurants in the area you can just walk if you feel like eating here instead of downtown. Dominos pizza is across the street as well.

There's also a grocery store across the street, so you can buy any snacks / water / alcohol there at a very very cheap price.

I would stay in this hotel if I visit Madrid next time.

Stayed as part of a tour. Many rooms faced a small courtyard, rooms were very dark. Rooms were comfortable, wi-fi was free and good. Elevators were usually very crowded and slow. Breakfast was good with decent variety. Bus stop directly outside hotel with many restaurants and shops along street.

Room Tip: Rooms facing courtyard are dark but quiet.

Stayed overnight 13/11/2014.
Large family room 4 singles.
Spotless, plenty of room, lovely large bathroom with toiletries. Large selection of everything for breakfast, only complaint, maybe a microwave could be put in the breakfast salon, as food was only lookwarm, overall a good valued hotel, which we would use again.
