It was busy with many tour groups. I could not sleep because of people talking at the hallway and rain fall outside. For the kind of hotel, the elevator is too small to fit more than two suite cases, thus, it took long time just for waiting. At the breakfast buffet, there were so many people lined up. I was able to have time for only two cups of coffee, no food. If your priority is the budget, go for it.

A nice hotel with a friendly staff and always ready to help. Around 10 minutes by walk to the Marquez de Vadillo Metro. Opposite the hotel there's the LIDL and there are some good shops in Calle de Antonio Lopez street like coffee shops etc.

Near the airport and on inner ring road catch bus 23 which is right outside 1.50 euro to the street of plaza mayor in centre of Madrid and you can then walk all over the city from palace to art museum through the city shopping centre n catch the bus back to motel, very busy hotel, lots of tour bus so there is Buffett breakfast n lunch but great little tapa cafe n taberna dominique down the street about 3 blocks but the best thing in regard to location is the park behind it great for walks, talks, food, drinks etc the locals use it after siesta, then taxi to airport about 30-35 euros

This is a first-hand opinion. This hotel is nice. The front desk is helpful. The restaurant is excellent, the food wonderful.. Unfortunately, our room was on the eighth floor of the elevator had to wait a lot. Parking is not nearby. It is close to Vicente Calderon, and subway station.
Suitable place to visit in Madrid a few days.

I was received on day one by a staff member who directed me to my room instead of the porter. He then entered the designated room, and immediately asked to share a drink then he tried to hug me and made a kiss sign, I asked him out of the room. The problem, the director of the hotel did not do anything about it, rather covered it up and said there was no evidence, although other staff members recognised the person in question. This shows me you cannot trust this hotel ever.
It was noisy all night from the street as well from the people in their room, yet the girl at the desk did not do anything about it.
the tour was organised by Cosmos. In turn, they did nothing regarding this complaint, but covered it up, and denied responsibility.

Room Tip: I advise travellers to stay away from this hotel

We spent a joint writing work & holiday week in Madrid and stayed at Hotel Praga. It was a good choice for our purposes, because we needed a silence place for writing, and at the same time a place to launch our excursions in Madrid.
The hotel seems to be targeted to groups staying only for 1-2 nights in the hotel. The advantage for this was the fact that most of those groups did not spend their time in the hotel, but were visiting the touristic sites of Madrid. Therefore the hotel was quite silent during daytime, which helped in focussing on writing. On the other hand, the fact that groups stayed only for a short time was seen on the hotel restaurant, where almost the same food was served every evening. For us having the the half-board this was not very nice.

Stayed here for three days as a part of a Cosmos tour. Pros: great service! The front desk lady allowed me to check in early, which was very kind of her to do. The rooms are clean. Most of hotel employees don't speak much English but do the best to assist. The hotel is located about six blocks away from the Metro, so the commute to the city center wasn't bad at all. Also, if you stay here, do take a walk along the river... Very bike-friendly place. Cons: no gym, no ironing board in the room, no fridge, no coffee machine, and the hairdryer is mildly prehistoric. Didn't bother me much, but it is something to keep in mind.
