“Decent Business Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

Very good hotel for a business traveller. Located in the north of the city and handy for the airport.
In an area full of high rise hotels and office blocks.Restaurants are okay but not very plentiful. The
staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful.I read a previous review stating the price of breakfast at 20 euros. I paid about 10 for a fairly average buffet breakfast. The coffee was way above average.I never saw anyone eating in the hotel's restaurant and the bar was never opened during the three days I was there.I would stay in this hotel again but only on business.

Stayed there for an extended period of time. Location is good only if you are going to the financial/ business area otherwise you are far away from restaurants/ downtown, etc. Few choices to eat out.

Hotel itself is very worn. Stained carpets, worn furniture, tiny gym where barely anything works (besides the fact that you cant fit more than two people in there), a bar (which was closed for the entire stay) and a restaurant thats also usually closed and when open with few choices. Breakfast is served in a separate restaurant - decent and has the usual fare but nothing spectacular. Reception/ lobby non-existent and not well taken care off. Sort of depressing to walk into the hotel. No shampoo in the room but a soap mix. Smells like sewage in the bathrooms. Only upside is that I had a large room but still no way, I would go back there.

If you are on a budget and need a quick stay-over, go for it but there is no way thats even close to a four star. Best case scenario, its 2 to 2.5 stars.

Positive:
1. Rooms are clean
2. Check-in was speedy

Negative:
1. Not central, so you have to take a cab for 20 minutes to get to the city center
2. The cleaning service does not recognize privacy, even though you hang the privacy notice on your door outside (even multiple times).
3. Bathroom: The hooks to hang clothes are located on the wall next to the toilet, so 100% chance you're clothes will fall into the toilet.
4. The bathroom doorstop is located on the floor, next to the toilet, so 50-100% chance you'll bruise some toes.
5. Your room key and wireless will be deactivated multiple times during your visit.
6. The breakfast is mediocre at best.
7. Lastly, if you try to complain you get rude responses.

My Fiance and I stayed for one night as the hotel was convenient for the new UK visa office which is 5 minutes walk away. I have to say that Either I got the staff on a good day or others got them on a bad day because the thing that would encourage me to use this hotel again is the friendliness of the staff and my Spanish is not brilliant. Check in was a breeze and the girl at reception when we checked out was really helpful. The cleaning staff always said hello as we walked past and we were made to feel very welcome. The room itself was a large room with sitting room separate bedroom and bathroom al very clean and well kept with a well stocked mini bar. My only problem with the room was that the air conditioning was not working properly and therefore the room was uncomfortably hot. My fiance did open the windows which cooled the room but then you had to contend with the noise of the city.
Breakfast was passable but not memorable and not worth the extra money charged, Scrambled eggs runny and no option for fried. Sausages were mini hotdog sausages and not proper ones but the coffee was good. The only other thing I would mention and it is a real bug bear of mine is we were only given 1 key card. This is inconvenient when you are two people in the room.

End of the day though I would use this hotel again.

Spent 11 nights at the hotel.
Overall experience : POSITIVE
Best Feedback : Location and Housekeeping was very good.

Things that could be improved :
- gym has equipment that is broken. Gym is TINYY,,
- breakfast buffet was sub par in quality and choice fr 20 EUR it was not very good.
- checkout was a low point and the main reason I will likely move my firms business elsewhere. The checkout receptionist and I was made to feel very rushed..Did not appreciate her caustic tone and unfriendly demeanor.
- billing is very haphazard. they will post random items to your bill!

Still the rest of the staff and hotel was an overall fine experience made sour at the last moment only. Otherwise a decent hotel and good VFM.

Room Tip: Avoid the breakfast buffet.

Stayed 1 night in this hotel due to a business trip. The rooms were spacious, and the location is conveniently near to the tube station. 1 tiny complain is when I arrived at the hotel on the sunday night, no food was served in the restaurant. There is a macdonald's at the ground floor, but given that I am not much of a fast food person, I had to go hungry the whole night.

The check-in staff were ok, but I had better reception at other hotels before. Perhaps it was the fact that I didn't speak any spanish.
