“Many good wines by glass and Iberico Jamon!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

I love the wine bar and Iberico Jamon there. You can drink many wines by glass from more than hundred labels I guess!!! The prices are ranged from less than Euro3 up to more than Euro30.- for a glass of different wine. Several good ham shops inside the market. I love it!!!

“Giant Deli and Bar rolled into one”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is a great place if you are a foodie. It showed the real fusion of food culture that Madrid clearly has. We went twice, once to avoid the rain on Saturday afternoon - nightmare so crowded and whilst the atmosphere was great and it had a real buzz, it was not possible to get anywhere near any of the stalls to get food. We returned on Sunday evening and it was much more pleasant, the food was good, albeit you need to be picky about what you choose to eat. I'd recommend a visit, but be prepared to queue and if you are in a couple and you want a seat, you'll spend quite a bit of time apart, one looking after the seats and the other getting the job of collecting the food and drinks. Also be prepared to pay a premium the food was not value for money.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Absolutely loved Mercado San Miguel which we visited every day during our recent trip to Madrid. We sampled tapas from various places within the market, all of which were divine. We drank lovely Rioja and had great espressos and pastries. Can't rate it highly enough.

“delicatessen and fashion food”

simply delicious and beautiful to walk through it, an old groceries market refurbished as a delicatessen and fashion tapas stalls market, I can definitely recommend it, prices a little bit higher than other bars

“We stopped by daily!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Without planning on it, we did end up stopping by here all 5 days of our trip. One day we had cappucinos and pastries mid-afternoon, another day the paella as tapas, another day for dessert after dinner, and twice for wine and cheeses before dinner. It is a sparkling new place with food presented beautifully. Not as enjoyable when super crowded as on a weekend night.
