“delicatessen and fashion food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

simply delicious and beautiful to walk through it, an old groceries market refurbished as a delicatessen and fashion tapas stalls market, I can definitely recommend it, prices a little bit higher than other bars

“We stopped by daily!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Without planning on it, we did end up stopping by here all 5 days of our trip. One day we had cappucinos and pastries mid-afternoon, another day the paella as tapas, another day for dessert after dinner, and twice for wine and cheeses before dinner. It is a sparkling new place with food presented beautifully. Not as enjoyable when super crowded as on a weekend night.

“Great Place to Graze for Tapas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

This is an always crowded but terrifically fun place to have tapas, wine, and beer! It isn't always easy to find a place to sit, but be patient and someone will vacate a table. Go and enjoy the atmosphere.

“What an incredible Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Although this isn't your off the beaten path tapas restaurant it is a must while in Madrid. What a wonderful culinary experience offering many, many food and drink options both reasonably priced and exceptionally well done. The interior is modern yet rustic and invites you to just sit down for hours and drink and eat and then drink and then eat some more.

“The food and the experience. Priceless.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012 via mobile

We absolutely loved Mercado de San Miguel. Started our lunch with multiple delicious 2 bite pinchos-small 1€ each tapas and beer. Then continued going from station to station with more tapas, sweet wine tasting, dessert. The place is full of people at any given time, don't let it scare you. Go in hungry. Go try tapas at every station. Give your stomachs some celebration time. Nowhere to seat? No worries. Find a standing counter. You will not regret it.
