It is kind of sad that tourists still can't find where the locals eat when they travel. I ate here and the food was OK but expensive. The atmosphere is not cozy, not elegant, but not ugly either. I tried many of the recommended plates. The butter fish was nice but portion was small. The welcome drink is unique but not to die for.
Listen, I know people in Spain, so I have eaten at many WONDERFUL restaurants. I begged my friends to take me to this place because of its high rating on Trip Advisor. I was disappointed. I think I know why the tourists love it so. If you only eat pizza and cheap paella in Spain, you will have a comparably GREAT meal here. However, this restaurant lacks the local charm. They do not have the professional Spanish style waiters, they do not invite you to an after dinner drink (common in a true Spanish place, even the Chinese do it), and they don't have a Spanish atmosphere because the place is filled with tourists.
CONCLUSION: It's a safe bet BUT why not try Spanish food while in Spain? and especially try Spanish creative cuisine. Also, be aware, this place charges for bread without warning you. It adds 5 dollars to your bill, whether you eat it or not. I gave it less stars because I don't think it deserves such a high rating. I hope my advice helped you.
