Situated in a lesser road of Madrid.
Interior is small, modern and tastefully decorated.
The menuecard is short. The set menue at 40€ for 4 courses.
The plates were modern, nicely presented, although, we believed, somewhat underseasoned and a little simplistic in taste.
Our expectations became high, since the first course, grilled white and green asparagus, with smoked Wagyu slithers, was served under a 'cloche' filled with smoke. So we said to each other, mmmm, chef, please continue like this. But then, after a rewarding grilled and braised plate of artichokes, the mains faded somewhat away: 2 little fillets of red gurnard on bisque, topped with a little of some finely chopped vegs. Then scallops on a thin potatoe sauce fond, with some drizzles of yellow and orange olive oil and a bit of broad beans. Where was the oumpf...?
Winelist was short, but complete and with tasting explanations. In it, you can find some very good bargains, beginning at 14,5€. Some served by the glass, off course.
So, for this category of restaurant, a little let down feeling, but not too much either.
