This is an idiosyncratic little restaurant, well patronised by locals and set just off the Plaza Mayor. Its not gourmet dining, but we really enjoyed the food - and its relatively inexpensive.
The entrance is not inspiring, you go down a slightly scruffy little corridor with tapas displayed and then turn into the restaurant area. The service was initially handled by the Spanish speaking waiter but when no satisfactory communication was achieved another member of staff, Cristina came over to assist. The first night we had the Revueltas de Morcilla - Spanish Omelette with black pudding and a sort of casseroled tripe. The second night it was pork with a sauce and if I remember correctly "Jamon". There are local desserts - not much choice its just what is on that night. Everything was very tasty. The house wine was good and we were given little extras free of charge - a liqueur the first night and some delicious amuse - bouches the second.
We went to get Spanish food and atmosphere and that was what we got. It was quite delightful. Thank you Cristina.
