Owner description: We serve an excellent choice of tapas and drinks, which our clients can savour while enjoying the best flamenco show in Madrid. We do not only invite famous artistes to perform alongside our in-house musicians, but, due to our desire to keep flamenco alive, we also give an opportunity to young talent, as we have been doing for the last 40 years. Come and enjoy the best in flamenco…

“Memorable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

Last weekend I went to Café de Chinitas after a delicious meal in Taberna La Bola with a group of 15 students that study with me in London. The performances were amazing and captivating, the wine delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the owners was there and helped us arrange a memorable surprise: to call three of our students who dance to the stage to dance for a bit with the professional flamenco dancers. We had an amazing evening and will certainly come back!

“My life was changed by this flamenco show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

The performers were outstanding. The men, the women. It was unbelievable. I would come back 100 times for that show. There was such passion and fire. It really changed the way I look at life.

That said, the food is ridiculously overpriced, the wine we ordered was soso, and the servers were not very friendly.

But that show? That show makes it worth the 5 star review.

“Touristy flamenco”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

The plus sides are a nice location, and atmospheric room. The negatives are miniscule seating (I actually couldn't get out of my seat for two hours), very mediocre food (a set menu for a large group), and while the flamenco was entertaining enough, it felt tired (or at least the performers looked it) and very much felt like the tenth show they had done that week. Yes, a lot of the performers were older, but this didn't detract so much as that you could just tell they were as unimpressed with their audience as we may have been for them. The lack of enthusiasm was palpable on both sides.

“Cafe de Chinitas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

We three ladies left their husbands in the bar and went to the 8.30 show last night. We paid 38€ each for show and a drink. We asked for 3 cava, and were given a very respectable bottle between us. The show lasted 90 minutes. Re. former review about older dancers, most of the performers were under 35 and all were very good. I have seen Flamenco in Seville and in Granada and the standard of Cafe de Chinitas matched those, maybe because I am a little more used to it but this was a really enjoyable show. A word about the food, the inclusive meal served to the table next to us didn't look too appetising, but although I didn't know the prices for the a la carte menu it did look somewhat better. After the show, walked down to the place de Oriente and met up with partners at La Bottilerria at Cafe Oriente. 6 of us had tapas starters and main course each, food standard was excellent, along with 2 bottles of wine the bill was 180€. Excellent value with a fantastic view if the illuminated Royal Palace right in front of us. A great night was had by all!

“Fabuloso show!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

We went to this flamenco show with my son in law who lives in Madrid and loves flamenco. I was afraid it would be too touristy for our spanish guest. We were all pleasantly surprised! The singers were excellent, specially one very thin one who looks like Camarón,the great singer who performed with Paco de Lucia, the three female dancers and the male dancer were also excellent. We bought the ticket which included only a drink, having read the reviews that said that the food was bad and expensive. We all thouroughly enjoyed the show.... Even our spanish flamenco fan!!
