“HUGE PLACE”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2015 NEW

Best to get your ticket in advance or book a group tour. Lots to see but much to same. Although certainly worth a visit if you like the old masters.
There are Free periods on certain days, may do well to check the times out and do some research on the painting before you go. So you see the ones you want to see, perhaps on 2 short free visits! Nice gardens around the gallery to rest from the sun too.

“A hidden gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2015 NEW

Located in the Chamberi district of Madrid the Sorolla museum ihouses the art of the artist Joaquín ,Sorolla. The collection is housed in the Sorolla's home and includes his studio and a pretty Andulscian courtyard. I did not know his work before and found the museum's free factshhet highlighting key pieces helpful and informative. It was also a pleasant surprise to find that entry was free after 17.00 on a Saturday.

Small personal museum w very few people to contend with. You had plenty of time and space to review his (Sorolla's) work.

“I love this museum.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2015 NEW

It is located in the small castle / town where the painter lived and can contenplar a recreation of his studio and a wide selection of his works. is not very crowded, is super nice and you can stroll by. A little gem of Madrid and a place to repeat and remember.
