“Go deeper into the artist's life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2014 NEW

If you have been to many galleries, and might be getting a bit jaded or even bored of endless rooms of paintings as I was, go here.

You get to wander through the artists house, and sit in his garden. And stand in his studio and feel the light he painted in.

It is also a sweet sanctuary and break from the bustle of the city.

A highlight of our week in Madrid.

Beware the tourist map location though.... It takes you close.... But I think 2 blocks south of the actual location.

“A wonderful little hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2014 NEW

What a pretty little museum. A wonderful oasis in the city. A water garden where you can sit in the cool. The museum itself is stuffed full of his art and is so pretty . It really is a wonderful place to visit after you have done all those larger museums. A bit of a long walk from the city so if you can get a bus or metro.

“Peaceful place in the middle of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2014

Great museum, the gardens are small but coazy with lots of places to seat and enjoy the peacefulness of the garden.

Its free for students if your country is on the list they have so ask and bring your student ID if not its still only 3 euros.

Its small but the paintings are eye candy.

Easy to go through takes about an hour to go through the museum, and then you can stay in the garden for as long as you want.

“New to me.”

I was introduced to Sorolla on this trip and went to this museum in his own house, what a gem. The garden is a haven.

“Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2014

Not a usual stop. Sorolla was a successful Madrid artist and this was his home. Get a glimpse of how he lived.
