Seeing such a large number of Sorolla's beautiful works in an intimate setting (a small mansion that was his home) is a real treat and lovely thing to do in Madrid after you've done all the other big museums. Easy to get to in just a few metro stops from the historic center of Madrid.

I liked this better than the huge Sorolla paintings displayed in the American Hispanic Society. Anyway, Sorolla loved his wife, daughters and son and you feel it in the paintings he made of them. The House is beautiful too.
