“Good galician cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

Not cheap but not expensive too. Uncomprehensible menù, written on a wood. Positive dishes based on octopus. Not so good their special dish with prawns and merlucha but excellent presentation. Poor galician wines.

“Walk on by”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

Our guide book advises visitors to join the queue of locals waiting for a table at this restaurant. Our advice is keep on walking. Service is unfriendly and the entrecote steaks we had were inedible. Mussels were tough and the salad sparse. A bottle of ordinary Albarino wine was over-priced at €15 Euros and the whole disastrous meal was more then €50 Euros. There are much better restaurants nearby - see our review of La Sanabresa on Calle Amor de Dios just a little further up the street and La Vaca Veronica on the parallel street Calle Moratin .

“Great seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

This place has traditional food from the Gallegan (Gallego) Country in Spain, the octopus in this place is fantastic. The food is great, no soft drinks, here you go for great arroz meloso and octopus and a great wine. Simple, good food and great price.

“Not worth the wait.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Some edible tapas like the empanada and octopus, but poor choice in general. The croquetas were not fresh. It would be just ok if service was not that bad. Even if you are the only 2 customers, you'll be warned to sit at tables for two, just in case 50 other customers arrive within the next 5 minutes after opening. If you don't splurge, you may get a "that's it?" comment from the waitress. When crowded other customers and staff will bump into you as they try very hard to get as many people seated in as little space as possible.

“Not What it as”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

We’ve been here a few times over the past three years. It was one of our favorites. The tapas are good, but the service was never great.

On our last visit, we noticed they have up in the windows a lot of hand-written signs warning customers that their place has been the target of pickpockets countless times.

We were among the first customers in the place that night. The waitress came over, ignored our “Hola!” and literally threw our menu down onto the table and walked away. And we consider ourselves regular customers here! That was when we decided to leave and never go back. Pickpockets AND rude service? No thanks, we’ll go somewhere else.
