I spent one night in this hotel with my husband in December on our way to Cuba and another night in January on our way back home from Cuba. The shuttle service between airport and hotel works very well, it runs every 30 minutes and saves you tot. 50 euros. You can also get to the city center easily with public transportation (bus + metro) although it takes some time, about 45 minutes. The hotel itself is very modern, well run and with free fast wi-fi. Our room was very large, very clean with super nice bed (!) and in the bathroom there was dental kit, shaving kit and the usual soaps, shampoo, body lotion etc. In case a customer's luggage hasn't arrived, all these kits will be very much appreciated. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant both times and I was very surprised to have truly great meals both times for a very reasonable price. This doesn't always happen in the airport hotels.The waiters wine suggestions and overall service were very nice. The lobby bar was also nice and the bartender was very friendly and introduced me a new local liqueur which I liked very much. Next time I will be in Madrid between flights, I will definitely stay here. The only thing that I must point out because it can cause problem to someone with allergies or asthma is the fact that they use heavy room scents in the lobby and other public areas. Otherwise this is just as good as it can get when it comes to an airport hotel.

It's hard to fault this airport hotel. It's not quite the nearest to the airport but the free airport shuttle works service worked well and takes only 15 minutes or so to the terminals. The room I had was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Wifi worked without any problems. The dinner I had in the hotel's restaurant serves was very godd indeed and the breakfast included everything I could want. The multi-lingual staff are friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to have a tea/coffee maker in the room.

I wanted a quiet restful night with a good dinner and breakfast the following day before a long flight. The hotel provided all of those and at a very reasonable price. It exceeded my expectations.

Had a night to kill in Madrid between flights and decided not to go into town. There is no hotel connected to the airport in Madrid but there are a bunch of hotels (including this one) in Barajas which is a stop away on the metro or a 10-15 minutes away by shuttle bus.

I chose Axor Barajas based on the TA reviews and I was not disappointed. I had stayed at the Novotel London Heathrow the night before and paid the same amount in £ as I paid here in € and the experience at Axor was significantly better from the quality/size of the rooms (seemed brand new) to the fact that there was a free shuttle to/from the airport etc.

I didn't eat at the hotel and instead went to the mall that is a 15 minute walk away (right out of the hotel till you get to the roundabout then right again all the way till the end of the road, you can't miss it) with a bunch of options and had a very good meal there for much less than at the hotel. I didn't have breakfast the next morning either so I can't comment at all on the food.

The only criticism I have of the hotel was that the check-in was slow (luckily I was 2nd in a long queue) since there was only one person on duty and the front desk staff were not particularly helpful or interested in their job it seemed.

Overall, a good and relatively inexpensive option if you are looking for somewhere to stay close to Madrid airport.

We stayed for a flight transit, one night. Amazing hotel, very high quality, We recommanded this location. If we transit again via Madrid, It will be there certainly. It's very close to a shooping mall.
We took the shuttle from the airport. We had a good service. The room are spacious, with a very nice and usefull bathroom.
