“Great stay, helpful staff, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

I really liked the Radisson Blu. The location was really good as well. Close to the action without being right in the middle of everything. It is not on a busy street, so I found it to be very quiet at night. The room was very modern. Bed was great. Lots of pillows. Wi-fi in the room worked great. When we arrived we checked in and went to our room. We noticed the bathroom had not been cleaned. We called down and they were very apologetic and offered to move us to a new room, but we said that wasn't necessary. They immediately came and cleaned the bathroom and brought us a nice fruit basket. The front desk staff was very nice and gave us a map and showed us all the highlights. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice places to have drinks/food right outside the door as well. I was really pleased with our stay.

The standard room was lovely with a tiny balcony overlooking the square. The room was a good size for Europe and the bed really comfortable. You can easily walk to the main attractions and there are a good number of tapas bars in the vicinity.

Room Tip: We were offered a business upgrade with bigger balcony however the standard rooms all have a small b...

We booked a business room in this hotel for the first and last night of our 2 week trip around Spain. It really exceeded our expectations with a wonderful location, extremely professional and friendly staff, an extensive and delicious breakfast and super comfortable beds and pillows. You can't beat the location! It's close to everything and you walk out and immediately have options for tapas, wine, live music, really nice ambiance. The staff was very helpful with directions, calling cabs, exchanging $ for Euros, you name it. Breakfast was included and we were satisfied with the buffet: great coffee/ tea selections, yogurts, cheeses, cold cuts, breads, fruits and made to order eggs. I love the Europpean style breakfast and this one didn't disappoint. The king size bed and pillows are wonderful...they might seems too hard (bed) and too soft (pillow) but I had a great night sleep. There's a spa and workout room in the basement which looked very clean and relaxing, but I didn't have a chance to use it. Wifi is free and there's a minibar, iron in the room. Room size was good enough for a couple with two large suitcases and a carryon, remember it's Europe. The decor is modern contemporary which was nicely done, but yes some of the art pieces might need a little getting used to...not a big deal as some reviews allude to. Overall fantastic hotel, definitely would stay here next time we're in Madrid.

This hotel offers very good service, large and comfortable rooms with excellent beds. The breakfast is far better than average. However, the best thing for me is the location. I have stayed while on business, returning to the hotel in the evening. Then I appreciate to be able to go for a walk in a very pittoresque part of the city.
The only negative bit is that since this hotel is quite trendy, some rooms are painted in dark colours. Not always the best solution.

Excelent location, with nice staff and pretty decent rooms... The radisson style but on a smaller spanish hotel. The room has everything you need, with free wifi, nespresso machine, big bed, etc.... The wallpaper is a bit weird, but you get used to it.
Outside a lot of bars for some tapas and wines (or beers). Walking distance to Puertas del Sol and all other attractions.

The location is great and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go in Madrid. The rooms was ok and comfortable, though the bathroom was pretty but not practically laid out. You can walk to the Prado (of course), the Palace and many cafes and town squares.

I think the Radiddon Madrid has the best possible location, right between three museums and within walking distance to the Plaza Major still it is an average hotel. I booked a business class room for 1 night during my stop over. the interior is a bit gloomy. i have to admit though the amenties were up to standard with nice staff, and eventhough there are two coffee shops on the street below with some people playing music, the soundproofing is great. couldnt hear a thing. the worst part of the hotel are the pillows!!! i had to put 4 on top of each other for me to sleep. my head just seemed to sink into it. I have read reviews with similar comments but i never expected it to be that bad.
The Radisson is a perfect place to explore the city. Just get your own pillow with you,

Room Tip: Do not be afraid to book a street facing room. the sound proofing is amazing
