“Fabulous little gem - a bargain in the middle of all the action”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

We booked this because it happened to be the closest place to a gig venue (El Sol - also a great place to check out).

It was a bargain price for the perfect city centre location. As our base for 4 days it was PERFECTLY placed. We walked the entire city, beyond the complimentary map. It was easy to find, easy to get to from the airport by Tube (right outside the Grand Via stop, with 2 quick changes from the airport).

We had room 8, a lovely double with a balcony overlooking Grand Via. Ok, it's a city that never sleeps and the road never quiets with so much life, but a pair of earplugs sorts it and the shutters keep out the light. The bed is very comfortable, the room a descent size and the bathroom nicely presented. With this place, it's the personal touches that make all the difference.

The staff speak excellent English and are both friendly and efficient. Stephanie is a diamond. She made the stay very special, always taking care to ensure we had all we needed, thinking of every little extra to make the difference. Even the towels arranged like swans on our arrival are unexpected for such a little place. They take the sort of care over guests that I've experienced in 5-star hotels in Egypt and such places.

There is no tea/coffee making facility. However, you are surrounded by cafes and bars, some of them 24 hours and you don't really miss it. Breakfast, if you choose, is taken at a cafe/tapas place a 2-minute walk down the street - an enjoyable experience and tasty food, again with welcoming staff.

Madrid is a busy city, and we covered most inches of it - but coming back to the room and to Stephanie at the end of each trip out was a real bonus. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Room Tip: The street-facing balcony room we had was great - but it's possible to go a little quieter with...

We are still stunned by the beauty of this hostal!! Fantastic location (in the centre of Gran Via and 3 minute walk to plaza del sol), great value for money but most of all, amazing staff! They were so kind and went out of there way to make our stay perfect. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Hostal Go Inn Madrid

Great price in a great location in the heart of the city, we walked to all the main tourist sites and there were lots of tapas bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was very clean throughout and the staff were very helpful. Little box of violet sweets as we left was a very nice touch.

This hostel is very well located, near subway station, many restaurants and touristic points. The staff is very attentive the room is large and the bathroom very clean. We believe it is a very good option for it price.

Helpful and kind staff. We even got better room for the same price as it was available at the time we stayed in a hotel so that was really great for us!
Close to many touristic places!
Rooms are perfectly clean. Bed is comfortable. It's on the main street so it's a little bit noisy at the night time but we knew that so no problem for us:-)

We had a wonderful time at Go Madrid. The lady at the front desk (owner?) was so helpful and sweet with helping us get to anywhere we wanted to go. She had excellent English which was a plus for us Americans. The hostal is in a cool old building with several other hostals occupying other floors. The room was immaculate and plenty big. The shower was hot with excellent pressure. Our room looked out over the Gran Via which was kind of loud however, I love the "hum" of the city. Great value, great location, very clean...what more could you want?
