I made a visit to Botin a must see while in Madrid, as it is the oldest restaurant in the world. I wasn't sure what to expect (as in, how touristy it would be) but it was really nice. The service was fabulous and the food was very good. I had the roast suckling pig (their specialty) and it was very good. I had made reservations for lunch instead of dinner and they offered a special for 44 Euro that included the suckling pig, an onion soup, 1/2 bottle of wine (or beer), bread and ice cream for desert. Honestly it was way more food than I could finish! Great quality and wonderful service. Ask them for a copy of the menu (either in Spanish or English) as a souvenir!
