“Nice hotel, but”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

The hotel is very elegant, located between a nice garden and the sea, but the fact of having to pay extra for everything (pool, sauna, breakfast etc) convinced us to choose another hotel next time. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, but had windows you cannot open which is a pity when you're in Spain.

Vigo is a bustling city and this hotel is well-positioned in the heart of many great restaurants and attractions near the port. We were grateful for valet parking after driving through Spain with limited parking. The hotel is sophisticated, fun, and friendly. Beautifully decorated lobby, and the rooms are the best we stayed in throughout Spain and Italy. Large, well-equipped bathrooms with jetted tub and large separate shower, and very spacious rooms with technology one would expect in a James Bond film. Tried the spa, lounge, and pool area and all were very good. The pool was very hot and is covered, making it like a sauna, so I wouldn't recommend on hot, sunny days. Delicious mojitos in lounge. Will be back to this hotel, it is walking distance to our favorite restaurant in Vigo, and is in a pedestrian friendly section of the city. LOVE THIS PLACE. I referred to this as the "sexy" hotel because the bathroom walls are all glass, and the LED lighting in rooms display in pink and blue and complement the "James Bond" feel. There is privacy should you choose to lower the bathroom wall screen, and the rooms have remote control shutters to block all light for a good night's sleep. Quiet and very comfortable rest.

Just returned from a visit to the area and this hotel was the highlight of the trip. It is located on a pedestrian only boulevard (making it a little hard to drop of your luggage) filled with cafes and gardens. The rooms were spacious with modern - even luxurious - accommodations. They staff was extremely helpful - even offering to open the workout facilities after hours for my husband. They served a wonderful breakfast with many options. Since we were there with family we did not get to enjoy the spa, but will definitely do so on our next trip.

We stayed in the Grand Hotel Nagari for a total of eight nights. I was in Vigo for a work conference, and found this hotel to be the closest to the venue. The hotel is situated next to a small park. We had a little trouble finding the access to the hotel as the front entrance is situated on a 'no entry road', however, there is a small notice under the no entry sign that says its no entry except for the Nagari reception. It took a few laps of the area, but we figured it out eventually.

The hotel is really nice inside, and the staff are very helpful. The room was really nice and comfortable. The free WiFi was a big plus for this hotel. We never went to the Pool as it seemed quite expensive which was a big minus for me. The room came with a TV which apparently had internet built in, which never worked.

The hotel has a bar and a restaurant. Breakfast was served in the restaurant area, which was not that amazing. We never dined in the restaurant for lunch or dinner, so really cannot comment any further. The bar serves a great variety of drinks with some nibbles. The staff were very attentive and could not do enough for you. Room service in the hotel was okay, there was quite a small selection to choose from. FYI the monkfish is divine!

All in all, the hotel was great. A little pricey on the spa side of things, but as a hotel its good. If the pool was free (or perhaps one free visit per hotel guest) would make this a big old FIVE..

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights as we were in Vigo for Eurock 2014 conference. The hotel has a great location near the port, a shopping mall and local restaurants. It is also opposite the park so great to sit with a book and watch the world go by. We booked a standard room which we were very happy with and enjoyed a balcony over looking the park. The room was large and spacious and had a jacuzzi bath which was wonderful and relaxing. This was in the main bedroom with a screen that you could close if you wanted some privacy but also meant you could lye in the bath and watch TV. A HDMI lead was provided so we could watch I Tunes and BBC I player which was nice as the only English channels were BBC world news and Sky news. Bed really comfy and the maid kept the room really nice for us throughout our stay, thank you.

Reception were really helpful, my husband needed a lot of papers printing and they did this for us at a cost of 0.25 cents a sheet which was reasonable. Bar area downstairs as you come in the hotel on the Right was great, very helpful staff who couldn't do enough for you, they are a credit to the hotel, thanks again.

Breakfast was nice but did get repetitive after 8 nights and if you had an early breakfast from 7am opening usually all the food was not out, no fruit until around 7.30am or spanish omelette although you could request eggs how you wanted them from the waiter so wasn't a problem. Didn't eat in the restaurant but had room service on two occassion's, a limited menu but what we tried was very nice. Parking 15 euros a day, this is standard in Vigo and you got valet parking for this. Be aware you can drive down the no entry sign to pull up outside the front of the hotel when you arrive. We drove round a few times trying to find the front entrance access before we saw the small sign permitting you to do this. Used the Gym which had limited but good equipment. All seemed very new and in good working order. Didn't use the spa or the pool as I didn't want to pay 15 euros to use the pool, this is my only negative that you had to pay for the pool if you were a guest of the hotel.

If you are after a really nice hotel that is central in Vigo I would recommend the Nagari. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: I emailed the hotel to request a room with a balcony which they provided for us

an unbeatable location in Vigo, near the Port, a Mall, and the main streets for dinning and shopping
the spa is not big, but neither small, just the size; you have to pre reserve, which is a good idea. the small outdoor jacuzzi is quite nice, while you entice yourself with the wonderful views
staff is mostly helpful and friendly, and just to finish, the breakfast experience is really enjoyable, not just for the stomach, but also for the eyes

The hotel would have had my 5th star if the pool were free if charge. The hotel is fantastic and if don't care about spa then it is one of the hotel you must try. Breakfast very good apart the coffee, furniture and service adequate at the category. Modern, clean an very comfortable. Price/quality ratio really low!
Reccomended
