“Convenient stop just outside Santiago de Compestela”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

This hotel was chosen because of it's location : right beside the Camino Ingles on the way that is leading to Santiago de Compestela. Walking with a young girl, it was a perfect stopping point allowing for an early start and so getting us completing the last stretch to Santiago by 9:15am. Friendly staff.

Would have liked the cold water to work in the bidet.

The hotel is set well back from a very busy road however the bedrooms at the front are still quite noisy. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast is probably the worst I've ever had at any hotel with truly awful coffee. A bit more effort and this hotel would have been fine.

We loved the large room and modern bathroom. At the quiet back of the hotel is the English path to Santiago. The rooms at the front ( some with a large balcony) suffer from to much noise from the local road which is very busy, day and night. Landscape at the front is not very inspiring. We changed our room to one at the back which was very quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable , but the carpets had some stains. Breakfast ( 6 euro p.p.) was average and not included in the price.

as part of a pilgrimmage tour of Portugal and Spain, we ended up at this hotel, May 24 and 25th. What a disaster. The floors are laid with laminate flooring so anyone with high heels above you will wake you up at odd hours of the night. The Airconditioning did not work. Our room was at the back where the ravine was and i was not about to open a window without a screen. I can do without mosquitoe bites. I must admit it was a clean room, as well as the bathroom, but the other disaster was our dinners and breakfasts. Our dinners were included as we were part of a group; one night we had 1 fish fillet, with salad. no tomatoes in the salad, and that was it. No rice, or potatoes. I felt sorry for the men. The crowning for this disasterous stay was the awful breakfast. Pound cake, with buns , cheese and ham. That's it. I was not impressed. Definitely they need to make some improvements. i also heard some problems with people trying to make long distance calls back to Canada, or calls not being forwarded to the rooms. also the lack of english spoken or understood to me was very unprofessional. One of the worst stays I've had. Spain has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Room Tip: research trip advisor thoroughly for good hotels.
