“Good Place to eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

You can go to the market at noon then you will find in the center of this place a great Marisqueria. In this place you can eat the great see food from the cantabrico sea and different kind of moluscos.

“Old world market”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

We went round the market on a couple of days, it is a lovely market full of fresh produce. We brought some fruit, cheese, ham and bread for our lunch and it was delicious. The market isn't as flash as La Boqueria in Barcelona but the food is every bit as good. You can buy produce and have it cooked at the little cafe in the market for a small fee, well worth a try !!

“Everything is so fresh!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

You can smell the Mercado even before you get there - the fruit, the vegetables, the fish.
The people are so friendly and love to talk about their products, of course it helps if you speak Spanish. But even if you don't, the products speak for themselves. We saw bacalao (codfish) of all sizes, beef, chicken, hams, flowers.
There is a stall that will prepare for you the fish that you purchase right there.
The setting is very charming also, in the older part of the city, with nice places around to get a coffee or a snack.
It's a place not to be missed.
