As another reviewer noted, not quite up to 4-star standards (especially if measured according to those of the Far East). No kettle or in-room beverages available. Hotel is about a 10-minute walk from beginning of a sprawlingly extensive city "center", but well-placed for the beach–right in front of the hotel. The Hotel Riazor, further along the same boulevard, is cheaper and while not quite up to the standard of the María Pita, is better placed for both of these.
Parking charges are excessive (over €15 per night including tax), and spaces are very narrow with little room for manoeuvre . Chances are that if you have anything much larger than a Smart it will get pranged by someone trying to get into/out of their parking space. May make for an interesting conversation with your hire car agent at the end of your stay. Solution: if later in the evening, drive past the hotel, go round the bend up the coast-road some 60-70 metres and you will come to free parking next to the road. Or pay €1.30 for 2 hours (free at lunchtime and at night) for parking on the road just before you arrive at the hotel next (going uphill), and then shift later to the free space.
Rooms clean, good selection of TV channels (but you don't visit Coruña to watch TV), and comfortable bed (if you like a firm mattress). Chairs too low for writing table: place extra towels on chair. Very good closet space (but hangers bit of a stretch for midgets).
Breakfast a real treat (included in tariff) (better than other hotels in Coruña), and you can eat jamón serrano until the cows come home. Truly excellent; the high point of my stay there. Staff polite, yet friendly, and helpful.
