My wife and I stayed here for our first half of our honeymoon. It was a mixed experience with some great parts and some less than great.
When we arrived we'd been traveling about 14 or so hours and were extremely exhausted. Unfortunately, we were also 3ish hours early for checkin. We decided it couldn't hurt to ask if rooms were available for check in early. The gentleman working the desk gave me a rather curt response and said no, we would need to wait. Now, I understand that they had no obligation to get us into a room early, but at least a little bit of sympathy if nothing else would have been appreciated. Alas, we were left to wander the hotel and snooze on the couches just off the lobby.
While I'm on the negatives, I'll just say that the fancy restaurant (I can't remember any of the names at this point 6 months later) in the hotel was strangely disorganized and chaotic for the number of servers that seemed to be working and the lack of other guests. Besides being expensive, the food just wasn't all that great. We also received the wrong order when they mixed up our food and the only other table's order. My wife and I still had fun laughing about how bizarre the meal was and the poor service. We weren't so much angry about it but I imagine others would have been more put out.
Last complaint, as others have mentioned, the hotel is a fair distance away from downtown Sitges. There was only so much to do and see at the hotel and it quickly became annoying to need to grab a cab to go anywhere interesting. But we knew that going in.
As for the good things, the rest of the hotel staff, from the housekeepers to the concierge to the bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and we had a lovely balcony with a great view.
I'd love to come back if I were with a group of friends or on a business trip, but for taking an extended vacation with my wife, I'd look elsewhere.
