“Another wonderful visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

This is a truly lovely hotel. I stayed for the second time for 5 nights in July 2013 and had a wonderful room with full view of the sea. Excellent room and bathroom and a very large balcony. Facilities and staff were - as they were on my first visit - brilliant. Spent some time this holiday on the patio - ideal location to read a book when the sun moves away from the room balcony. Thanks to all - I will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Go for a room with full sea view and spend the day on the balcony watching the world go by.

Hotel has been recently updated so it looks very modern on the photos. New tiling and basins in the bathrooms although the toilet, shower and bidet look old.
Overall a good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Quite expensive rooms and hotel parking is €25 /day but you are paying for the location.

One of Sitges largest hotels next to Platya (beach) de La Bassa Rodona where the (gay) boys are. The hotel has comfortable air-conditioned rooms and some with quite large balconies. The recent renovation was needed and the hotel is in better shape than before.

All the rooms have tiles on the floors, like most of the hotels in Sitges, and you can hear that very well when furnitured is moved around. The breakfast buffet is great with a large selection. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Like all the Sitges hotels it is overpriced during summer time.

We recently come back from a week at the Calipolis. It was not quiet what we hoped for but, once in the swing, quite enjoyable.
Having arrived by car, we drove down the ramp to the garage to be told it was full & to park in the public car park - not quite as easy as it sounds, reversing up a ramp onto oncoming traffic, but hey - the public car park is very expensive, about £200 for the week. We had booked through an agent in the UK & at the time of booking, the agent called the hotel & confirmed a sea view or partial sea view room, this was followed up by email immediately following the conversation (I had a print of it in my hand when we arrived at the hotel) We were initially put in a 3rd floor room on the back of the house with twin beds - that was to be changed for a double on the back of the house eventually - tough! was pretty much the hotels opinion - they were full. The bathroom is quite small, but generally it was all clean & tidy, serviced each morning - no problems there, the housekeepers were very friendly. No Tea or Coffee in the room (a very English thing I know, but I do like it). Breakfast choice was great, a buffet selection, whilst Im not keen, it was fresh & plentiful & no queues. The small poolside bar staff were very friendly. No air conditioning in the gym! wow - soooo hot! Check out was quick & efficient.
There was no feeling of welcome & the ground floor is a complete waste - they would be better to put the restaurant where the lounge is & have a lounge bar off of the reception - would probably generate a lot more revenue! Overall, no great impression of anything special, I wouldnt choose to stay again, it is quite expensive & there are better hotels - the location is good!

Room Tip: the ones on the back are probably quieter but look over the ducting vents, flat roofs & another...

Despite the fact that the hotel is located in a very central point, it seems that there is no value for money. The hotel is very old, the interior of room and reception reminds me an old ferry boat...!

The view from the rooms (only if you select a front sea view room) is absolutely amazing.

The swimming pool it looks more like a fountain than a swimming pool, and its location is next to the reception entrance with no enough space for sun loungers.

room service is ok and the prices very logical.
I am sure that nearby hotels, with no sea view have fantastic designed rooms and better money value.

Two night stay. This place is really comfortable and clean with a good sized balcony. Perfect location right next to beach and 5 mins from the centrre. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would definately stay here again

Room Tip: Side of the hotel, above the 4th floor sun comes onto the balcony at the end of the day.
