A very noisy hotel not up to the standard. We were given room right next to the cleaning ladies rooms. From early in the morning very noisy banging doors etc. We also had noisy neighbours in other rooms. Hotel staff not friendly, quickest check in ever two seconds were told nothing about hotel or Sitges. Hotel could do with new paint etc. Breakfast was nice though. Would not recommed this place.

Feb 20th, 2007: stayed one night for Carnival festivities. Hotel was an easy 15 min walk down a nice palm-lined pormenade along the beach to town center. Hotel staff was very friendly and spoke good English.
Room (#206) was large, clean and comfortable with nice balcony and ocean view. Bed was firm and good. Bath was large, clean and good pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was great. No trains were running for return to Barcelona due to electric problem. Staff helped us with arrangements for return. For the price, if you dont mind being out from town center a bit, this is a good choice. Would definately recommend for budget travellers! Sitges is a pretty town.

Hotel room was ok, nice bathroom with fitted hair dryer. The safe was very good and free. No tea or coffee maker.
The pool area was very nice and we always got loungers no problem.
Breakfast was good with a good selection.
The downside of this hotel was the noise. We didn't get a good nights sleep throughout our stay. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. We was on the second floor and the sounds coming from the room above kept us awake.
The other bad point of this hotel was the service. No points at all here.
Not very freindly either.
I would not stay here again.

Just spent two weeks in the lovely Sitges, a great holiday resort for all, but the Subur Maritim hotel left a lot to be desired. We suspected we had paid over the odds before the holiday, and sadly this proved to be true.
Breakfast, we always found was great, with plentiful food and a wide choice. But to get a sunlounger by the pool we had to be there at dawn, as towels were already placed in prime positions before breakfast.
There is a bar/terrace restaurant area by the pool and again we found the food to be very nice...once it arrived. Service was very slow, even by European standards, and the waitors always seemed overwhelmed and run off their feet. Although we never quite worked out why they seemed so busy. We also found it strange that some of the tables with parasols were always reserved, but no-one ever turned up to use them.
We usually walked the 10-15mins along the promenade into the town to eat in the evening. There are some great places to people watch and overall the food was good.
The disappointment was getting back to the hotel after our evenings out, because the hotel was so noisy. We were on the second floor and constantly heard doors slamming, furniture being moved and other peoples conversations until the early hours. Largely because of this I wouldn't go back to this hotel again or recommend it unless you take ear plugs.
I would recommend Sitges though, its a lovely place with fun, culture, sights and a lovely beach. Its a great place for families. Its also an easy train ride into Barcelona which was a plus for us.
