We specifically spoke with the hotel directly to insure a seaview room with terrace. we arrived and we given a room which overlooked a wall of hedges with a small balcony (had a tiny round cocktail table and two chairs) and if you went to the end of the balcony and craned your neck you could see the ocean.
the carpeting in the room was disgusting and the rooms decor in need of refurbishment. we spoke to the front desk and they moved us to another room which was supposed to have a direct seaview...when in fact it was on ground level and the previously mentioned hedge obstructed your view. again, this new room was just disgusting. on top of all of this the front desk attendant was rude and arrogant. we left the hotel (did not stay more than 5 minutes total) and went on foot in search of another hotel. 4 stars??? what a joke! at best a two star hotel.
also...as previously mentioned this hotel is on the outskirts.
AVOID!

I've just returned from the Subur Maritim and have been pleasantly suprised by the upturn in the hotel and especially, the service. Corridors have been carpeted so no more echoing noise from outside the room. The staff were certainly much friendlier than previous stays and the breakfast was acceptable.
OK, it's not the 4 stars it's supposed to be - but you're paying for the location; one of the very few hotels in Sitges across the street from the beach and with a good sized pool/gardens.
Having tried several other hotels in the 10 years we've been visiting Sitges, this hotel, even though it's not fantastic, is definately the best for location, room size, pool area.
If you want real 4 star - you will need to stay at the new hotel which is in the hills above Sitges and considerably more expensive.

The hotel was OK. Not as in "just ok" but not OK with an ! either.

I was disappointed when we were allocated a room on the rear opposite the sea but from the expansive balcony we have great views over the city and hills as well as a side view of the ocean and the old town.

Breakfast: we only had breajfast once at the hotel and we more enjoyed the al fresco on our own very private balcony.

The rooms were ok. A bit plain. We didn't find the place noisy at all, perhaps because we were on the top floor and at the end of the hall (room 313). Even the snack fridge, though unceremoniusly plopped down on the floor inside the room door, was silent. (Nothing worse than a mini fridge clicking off and on all night.) The fridge had a few snacks long with the requisite drinks.

The bathroom was more than ample though the shower head was mounted on the side of the space. The water pressure was much better than most.

The pool area was as fine as a putting green. We had no problem garnering a set of chairs.

The pool-side cafe looked really nice though we didn't eat at the hotel after the first breakfast, which, to go on about it, was (a) hot .. and not so much the food as the room. With the sun shining in, and who can complain about that, the room was nearly sweltering. And (b) the food choice at breakfast was mediocre at best. Especially at what one would expect at a 4-star or when compared to another upper end hotel like the Calipolis where breakfast was a feast.

The front desk staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful - and in English. The person who brought the requested iron to the room arrived very quickly and decined a tip for the service.

And back to the room itself: very plain but practical. 2 double beds up against each other.

Biggest complaint after breakfast: the walk. It IS a pleasant walk down the promenade but my inner child kept asking out loud: "Are we there yet?" as it was a long walk after a later dinner. Not too long, but closer would be nicer. It could be a romatic-ish walk if you're there with your beloved and in no hurry as the prominade is well lit and right over the beach and waves.

Stay there again? Probably not except for the pool.

The hotel is a VERY long walk away from the city centre.

The rooms were un urgent need of refurbishment.

Dont pay for a sea view room unless you smoke, I had to suffer a room that smelt of tobacco.

The staff were very unhelpful.

The food service was VERY poor.

THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED AT!
