“Great Steaks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Lovely steakhouse with excellent choice of steaks, which were very good. Well located on the seafront on the quieter side of the town, and we had a nice table outside. Local wine was good and reasonably priced. I would definately recommend this restaurant.

“Great Steak!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

The Buenos Aires is in the quieter area of Sitges, San Sebastian. The restaurant gets very busy and it is a good idea to book a table in advance. Having said that, it is usually possible to get a table if you are prepared to wait a while. The steak is excellent, (as you would expect from a steak grill), and the service generally good. Prices are not particularly cheap, but most places to eat in Sitges aren't!

“Friendly staff and good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Had dinner at this restaurant several times in mid-July 2013. The owner runs three different restaurants which are side-by-side. One is this ‘Argentinean’ inspired steak house, then there’s Ragazzi (Italian food) and Usaka (Japanese food). You can sit in any of the three and take your pick from three differnet menus and even mix and match.

The food was quite tasty, fresh (had lots of seafood dishes) and presented in good portions, not too much, not too little. Recommendations are the California Maki from the Japanese menu, real crab very well done. Pizzas are quite large about 35 cm/13.5 in in diameter on thin crust. Recommendable are the “avocado and jumbo shrimp” starter for those who like them as it makes a nice variation on the shrimp cocktail.

There are about four servers who do put on some mileage running around tending to all guests but always very friendly, patient and always with a smile. One person is in charge of preparing drinks and serving them so it may take a little while to get your drink.

I have noticed that staff always try to accommodate people and move tables to make sure larger groups sit together. Remember, if there’s a lineup for one of the three restaurants go to the one with no lineup and/or tables available as you can order from any of the menus.

Note that you have a nice view overlooking a promenade and the sea behind. Because of this you will need to expect prices that reflect the location. A large jug (1 litre/roughly a quart) of Sangría cost us 17 Euros (about 4 glasses) and a three course meal between two of us and the jug of Sangria ran at about 80-100 Euros.

You will notice that at this restaurant, just as all others, there will be street performers who will walk by tables to ask for donations after their performance on the promenade and deaf/mute people who will place items on the table. If you wish to buy something, then you take it and pay, otherwise you just leave things there and he/she will go and pick the items back up and move on.

Overall I can recommend the place for the variety (3 menus) and above all, the happy pleasant attitude of the staff.

“Great ribs”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We enjoyed our meal at the Buenos Aires however the service did let it down. They were very busy and whilst they got us in, we ended up waiting for ages to be served drinks and then longer for food which did rather spoil the experience.

“You pay for the location!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Has a large outdoor seating area on a largely traffic free part of the seafront so great view out to sea. It was busy when we arrived so had to wait a while for a table. The waiter was very pleasant amd happy to see us.Service was a bit stretched - took a while to order, then our starters didn't arrive. After we got them the main course was not far behind. Most of us had chosen steak - I had a fillet which cut like butter but was a little on the rare side for me. Tasty all the same. Turned into rather a long evening as you could never catch the waiter's eye when you wanted to. Guess that takes years of practice. Quite an expensive meal.
